Re: Any new info from the V Gundam Master Archive?
Ah bummer. I was really kind of hoping we'd get some more juicy info and dates on the development of the Victory and the resources/personell/politics involved.

Re: The Official Gundam Narrative Mecha Thread Mk I
I don't actually care about the presence of the Core Fighter per se. What bothers me is this: I know it's supposed to be a testbed and all, but what nitwit thought it was a good idea to build it with no armor whatsoever on its upper limbs and no armored cockpit hatch ? I mean you could put some tur...

Any new info from the V Gundam Master Archive?
I was wondering if the V Gundam Master Archive contained any new information on the vague development history of the League Militaire's mobile suits (like the degree of Anaheim's involvement, if at all, for example) or if it had any interesting factoids about them that we weren't privy to before.

Re: RCX-76 Guncannon: Why did it suck so bad?
Serious question: Does Luna Titanium even exist in The Origin? The prototype Gundam seems pretty bulletproof in the opening scene of the comic, but I don't remember if the armor material is ever mentioned in the story, and it hasn't come up in the kit manuals either. It's hard to see why the White ...

Re: The Official Gundam The Origin Mecha Thread Mk I
A bit sideway: Do you think that the reason which the Republic of Munzo, and latter the Principality of Zeon adopted many elements of the German army in WWI/WWII (for example, the uniform, the MS designs like the Zaku FZ, and the decorations like the Zeon Cross) is because Spacenoid, who are people...

Re: Is the Gundam fins optimized for communication?
I always got the idea that the Ez8 was a refit done with the Kojima Battalion's operation to take the mountain base in mind, specifically the defense of the Guntank unit in the abandoned city. If that's the case, they likely designed it mostly with urban warfare in mind, where mobility is mostly lim...

Re: Assault Suits series
This is probably limited in appeal to old school gamers. If you ever played the Genesis game Target: Earth... YES I HAVE!!! And I cannot for the life of me tell you how unbelievably happy it makes me that they recreated the game so faithfully from the looks of it, right down to the soundtrack. They...

Re: The Official Gundam The Origin Mecha Thread Mk I
In any case, we should just consider this as Origin's continuity. We have no idea what we should consider it. The Director outright said that Origin isn't meant to be a simple remake, but in the same vein, the mechanical designer said that the director made it clear that the Guntank in the OVA need...

Clara, a member of the Kraken Team down on Earth, was desperate to join Cima. So, Cima decided to entrust her with a mission. She would recover the GP-04 which was stuck in the plasma field from the Val Varo. If she returns with it safely, she would become a member of the Marines. As Clara approach...

Re: The RX-78-6: What the hell what it REALLY built for?
Well, damn; I completely forgot I made this topic. I'll chalk that up to me having four Belgian Tripels in me when I made it... Meanwhile, the other links (B-G) provide an explanation for the leg thrusters and this is related to the Mudrock's reason for existence. Basically, Mudrock is developed to ...

Rack for a bazooka. The old Master Grade RGM-79 GM had it.Deathzealot wrote:What the heck is that on the other shoulder?
It's actually part of the backpack, to take up the space freed up by the beam saber rack only being on the one side.

Re: New Blue Destiny manga to run in Gundam Ace
This might be an absolutely trivial detail, but I've recently noticed that the new Blue Destiny Manga's version of the GM Commands used by the Marmot Team has the RGM-79D backpack. This is kind of an interesting compromise that meets the RGM-79 Master Archive's claim that the RGM-79D was developed a...

Nope, most sources imply that it's the first mobile suit battle ever. That was always it's point of significance.PowerdGNFlag wrote:But wasn't the Gundam Rising battle only significant as the first battle between two MS inside a colony?

Re: The Official Gundam The Origin Mecha Thread Mk I
Getting into the Origin, both manga and animated versions, and I have this to ask about mobile suits: Given how Guntanks and Guncannons were mass-produced before the Gundam was even built, what would their power sources be, because if they too use Minovsky Ultracompact Fusion Reactors too, wouldn't...

The RX-78-6: What the hell what it REALLY built for?
A thought crossed my line recently; I've noticed that the Gundam Mudrock in Battle Operation doesn't hover quite like it does in other games, which isn't terribly something that stood out to me at first, until I noticed that the Armored GM DOES within the same game, and even has a unique animation f...

Epilogue has the Zeongs and the Psycommu Test Zaku from the manga An interesting thing to note is the numbers on their bodies, although it seems they only had the time to put the markings on Unit 02. Considering Char piloted unit 001, I guess this does mean the Principality indeed intended to mass ...

Re: What MS design would you like to fix?
The Origin's RX-78-02 is by far my favorite interpretation of the Gundam with the new FIX Figuration and the MG, but the upside down shield drives me up a wall. Made sense when Origin was starting, but with the rotating mount, it's kind of redundant. All it means is that when the shield isn't in the...

Just watched the first episode and I find myself sympathizing more with Darryl than Io for the moment. Being an all around cocky guy will give off that impression but also even if you have an enemy, just sneaking up on them and shooting them in the head is a kind of cowardly instead of honorable ki...
