Re: Regarding Zeon Occupation of North America
The problem is that if not for Zeon, she'd probably have died of starvation before the show. Belfast wasn't in a good state at the time, and it didn't look like that is because of the war either. She was a spy before the suicidal mission and that is what kept her and her family alive, at least that...

Re: Regarding Zeon Occupation of North America
drop was not aiming at Sydney, but Jaburo, where EFF's HQ is located. I guess no matter how lenient you put the terms, EFF would never fall into the category of protectee of Zeon forces. Sydney and the totality of 2 billion who died on Earth caused by the colony drop that isn't EFF personel is just...

Re: Miscellaneous AEUG questions
During the course of episode 9 of Zeta Gundam, when Char is given his Hyaku Shiki, Roberto (I think it was Roberto, it's been a while), states that the color of the machine that Quattro pilots always becomes popular, as a possible hint that they might at least know his identity. They do state during...

Re: Questions Regarding Gundam F91
I enjoyed F91 for the most part. Most of my complaints from it stem from the length of the movie is just too short to fit in all the plot. I'm also not a huge fan of the ending which ends on a cliffhanger and leaves you wanting more. There seemed to be a lot of interesting side characters floating a...

Re: Wing Self Detonate
Noin in examining the wreckage of the Wing Gundam, states something to effect of all the important parts were destroyed. (I think episode 11 of the series.) So I'd wager the nature of the Wing Gundam's self detonation was just that, to destroy the important parts. The only reason Zechs was able to r...

Re: Double Zeta: What do you think about it?
I actually liked ZZ quite a bit. The lighter parts I think work well, in that when something grim does happen, it seems all the more shocking. I do hope we someday do get a U.S. release of the series, to finally bookend Zeta and fill that hole, especially considering how much of it ties in with the ...

Re: Is there a Gundam series that is "your" Gundam?
"My" Gundam is Gundam Wing, easily. While I enjoy the UC and other AU series, that one is the one I remember most fondly. My favorite Gundam memory by far is sitting up in the summer, waiting for the Midnight Run showing of the uncut episodes. Something about watch a serialized space opera...

Re: What happened to the Titan remnants?
I do believe that Haman mentions in ZZ during the Dakar arc that Titan remnants have joined up with Neo Zeon. These are the same episodes where Hizacks and Marasais can be seen in the background with neo Zeon forces IIRC. At the start of episode 24 of ZZ Gundam, a Neo Zeon officer talks about teami...

Re: Older and Sold Off?
Just because Roy bought the thing off the Federation doesn't mean it was in any way combat worthy when the Federation got rid of it, and just because we see it up and about and shooting (albeit with some considerable difficulties) doesn't mean he acquired the machine in that condition. According to...

Re: What was the Federation capital during OYW?
I'm wondering if the assembly for the duration of the One Year War, might have been in Jaburo. While not the capital proper, it could be that was where the politicians fled to following the out break of hostilities. In the animated shows, as well as the video games and manga, it seems to show Jaburo...

Re: Logic Behind the Evolution of UC MS technology
I'd wager that a lot the Newtype weapon development after CCA fell by the wayside, since after Char's Neo-Zeon was defeated, there really was no forseeable enemy in sight for the Federation, and they stuck with regular mobile suits, rather then powerful newtype machines. Besides that, as it's been s...

Re: So I finished Zeta Gundam.
Do you mean Apolly? Did they change Apolly's name to Botty in the dub?! I think I'm missing something... There were several Rick Dias pilots on the Argama, outside of Apolly and Roberto, and the one that made it the longest was Lt. Botty, who survived well after Apolly was killed, and took part in ...

Re: GM and Gundam Ground Types
In reguards to the video games showing mixed units, I can't speak for the Lost War Chronicle video game (since I have yet to play it), but based on the manga, the Matt Healy's unit is shown to be an experimental test unit, which just seems to keep what ever suits they get to test out, at least until...

Re: So I finished Zeta Gundam.
Also I think the last red Rick Dias pilot survived, right? If so Yay. They don't really show what becomes of Botty, the final Rick Dias pilot. The last time you see a Rick Dias in Zeta, it's piloted by another pilot, that tells Fa to stay alert. Though, in ZZ there is no sign of Botty to be seen, a...

I'm pretty sure the reason the scene with Sally and Noin was changed in the movie version was that they split ways, with Noin going to pick up Zechs in his Tallgeese, as he floated in space. Hence, they changed the shot to just Sally. As far as which one's more official, I'll agree with Wingnut, in ...

I was thinking about this topic earlier, and had an interesting thought. I was wondering if the Titans joining Axis wasn't so much on ideals or revenge, but rather money. If I recall, Axis wasn't exactly the biggest organization in the playing field, nor the most experienced. Where as the Titans did...

I had once heard, perhaps by Mark, Gates was under consideration by the ZZ Gundam staff to use him, but for what ever reason, never did. I can't find the thread, but that's what I heard. Please take it with a huge grain of salt. Sadly, I imagine that they have never offiically stated what becomes of...

I'm pretty sure that it was stated, perhaps by Mark, that there was talk by the staff of ZZ Gundam to include him in that show, but couldn't find a way to fit him into the story. If that was true, and since he was never seen getting killed in Zeta, I'd say that would make him MIA. But take all that...
