I normally hand paint everything, but have been considering airbrushing for a while. Is it easy to pick up? Do people find it more convenient? Hope you don't mind me asking? :D I think the most difficult things about learning airbrushing are getting the paint thinned to the right degree and being pa...

If you've got an airbrush, you should consider using Future as your clear coat. It's good stuff. You can also mix it with Tamiya flat base to get a flat coat. I don't have the international equivalents list handy but it's an SC Johnson product and in some markets it's known as "Kleer".

Re: The cost to build a 1:100 model

Want to know how much people spend on build a MG kits or 1:100 kit. What I mean is the cost of paint, sand paper, compress air (if you don't have the compressor), sand paper, etc. I just build RX-78-4 and the cost is: Paint :$10 australia dollars Spray: $36 Sand paper: $1.6 Total : $47.6 and the ki...

And Maya? wasn't she with her parents? and is she in macross 7 ? (I refuse to see that) You should give Mac 7 a chance. The show has its issues but it's fun stuff. As for Maya - I have no idea who Maya is. So I guess she's not in Mac 7. :) If she's one of Max and Milia's kids, then it wouldn't real...

hey im a novice starter in gundam painting and got any recomendations for weathering using only rough grey , oil, rust, rough sand, soot, sand mud paint? Not really. To be honest I don't do much weathering. I do shading and I do panel lining and I do the occasional wash but I've not spent a lot of ...

Sounds like you are going to have a very busy April. I wish I could be there, but it's a couple of time zones away, so.... :( My April's gonna have nothin' on my February, my June, and maybe my March, too. Two anime cons on consecutive weekends is gonna be a breeze compared to moving out of the apa...

Model Workshop, Model Panel

So I've mentioned my Mecha Modeling Workshop here in the past - where I go to anime cons with a bunch of supplies and stuff, and teach people to build and paint kits. Anyway, the cost and other burdens of the program are getting to be a bit much, so I may not do it so much in the future. I'm hoping ...

If I didn’t have glasses, I could easily pull off La Flaga before he came back from the dead as Neo. (Provided I shave off my beard) Much the same with Char. My hair is light enough to still be considered blond but it’s the wrong type for many characters since I can’t really style it much. Oh...

I've never cosplayed, though I can't honestly say I'm closed to the idea. I actually had a Garma uniform going but it was never finished and never will be. Thing is, I can't stand the idea of cosplaying unless the costume is superbly done. If it's even a mote below par then I can't imagine bringing...

I would find it pretty bizarre to say I like "The Alien Franchise" - I feel like the "series" is really four extremely different movies. I like "Alien", though, it's a very cool movie, and they knew how to make suspense films in the 70s. (Doesn't hurt that jiggling of a...

The mecha designs are, well, ugly in comparison to the TV series. Granted, physically speaking, Transformers can't look that cool and sleek in robot form and at the same time transform so neatly into sleek, neat vehicle forms. But it just looks odd. They can do pretty well, though: look at the Bina...

My, such variety... I mean, the poll choices are all fast food or comfort food. Obviously there's no way a multiple-choice poll can cover the spectrum, but I feel like there's a whole lot of stuff that falls rather unfortunately into "other" - any nice restaurant, for instance. And ...

Yar. We're heavily going off topic here, so this'll be the end of my rant pertaining to anything that is not Armored Core 4 related. If you want to continue this (I'm guessing) debate, do it through PM's or make a seperate topic. :o Nah, I don't want to keep going, I'm kind of finding it distastefu...

Bah, I don't buy it. AC3 started off pretty much in the exact situation of AC1. There are no ties between AC2's story and AC3's. Face it, AC3 was a do-over as well. So "Thanks to the game Ninebreaker" is supposed to mean, what, because of Nine-Ball? Irrelelvant. It just means that the AC3...

I love Armored Core, from the AC design to its weapons. Sad to say, I missed out on the series since Nexus. I wonder if its still too late to catch up. But AC 4 sounds interesting though, although I wonder why it took the AC manufacturers so long to make water proof ACs... The only thing I dislike ...

Re: Video Games That Should Become Movies

For starters, I'd like to see an Armored Core live action production. That would be frikkin awesome. :D I think the end result may be problematic - among other things, the customization feature and the wealth of parts, which add depth to the game, isn't something that can be easily worked into a mo...

It is called the Wii for a reason.. Now why is that? I thought it was just like one of those weird things where they hear a word they think sounds cool and put it in a show even though they have no idea what it means. Like "Every planet's keeping twinkle.", "I believe in drastic my s...
