Re: Is the Nemo expensive to made?
Maybe? Judging from the stats in mahq, Nemo and GM 3 have nearly the same performance. So obviously Federation would choose to just upgrade their GM 2to GM 3; its cheaper, faster, easier to maintain and train. Not to mention they were already working on the new suits like Jeddah and the billionth Ze...

Re: How many people can live on the PLANT"S ?
According to the Gundam Official archive Chris linked to there are 120 PLANTS, Divided into 12 Sectors/Cities with their own specialty. Junius specialized in "Basic and applied agricultural science," ; so it was ten agricultural colonies, which probably could produce a decent amount of food even af...

Re: How many people can live on the PLANT"S ?
I am sure they can grow some genetically engineered super crops that can make the most out of the limited surface area. Especially when they can grow giant trees to make giant bolt-action rifles for their giant robots. But speaking of Plant interior, while the residential zones are fiarly opened ai...

Re: How many people can live on the PLANT"S ?
I think that number is probably excessive... with 60 million people and less than 18,850km^2 to work with, that'd be over 3,300 people per square kilometer. That's halfway to Hong Kong's population density. Definitely not something supported via the animation, which has always shown the PLANTs as s...

Re: How many people can live on the PLANT"S ?
Well, the "new" Gundam Seed Mechanics and World give PLANT a population of 60 million coordinators, presumably not counting the (very)small number of naturals that are parents. at 60 million on 120 colony, each colony would, on average, have 500k population. Ofc, normal habitat colonies would have m...

Re: Dom and urban combat in UC
In 08th MS team, the battle in the city, there is a Dom that hovered and jumped. So Doms are perfectly useable in urban combat. I guess the hot thermonuclear jet could damage the ground if the asphalt was heated up too much tho. But honestly, even the 99kmh run speed of Gouf is probably already a ta...

Re: Undersea Cities
I dont think there is any proper city underwater.
According to Destiny Astray, ZAFT operates at least a secret underwater base somewhere in the pacific/indian ocean.

There is no real concrete number on g force, other than that Justice's thrusters can generate 8g, and Freedom's 7.3g.

Re: ZAFT'S Land and Sea craft.
It's been a long time since I watched SEED, but the Gundam wiki's Carpentaria Base article has a screenshot showing the Lesseps floating in the bay . This still doesn't explain whether it came from earth or space , but maybe it has the same gel that the Archangel has. Actually, that is a Zaft subma...

Re: ZAFT'S Land and Sea craft.
Speaking of sea faring ships, would ZAFT's scale system-equipped land ships work float on water? They are propelled by scale system propulsion, and we know that scale system work on water since Blue Frame's aquatic combat equipment use scale system for propulsion.

Re: ZAFT'S Land and Sea craft.
ZAFT have allies on Earth, willing or not. So Zaft has a much easier time establishing Earth factories. Hell, maybe they can even ask to rent their ally's' shipyard or land battleship-yard. In Destiny Astray manga, the chapter where they introduced the Lagash base, it seems to suggest that the subs ...

Re: Space Colonies and Water
I mean, if we are talking about how to get jovian or asteroid water back to Earth, then why bother putting it on the ship? Cant we just strap a rocket or load that big piece of ice onto a mass driver and launch it toward somewhere closer to Earth's orbit, so that when it arrives, it can be captured ...

Re: Space Colonies and Water
Asteroid belt contains quite alot of water. Lots of the "rocks" there are actually ice, or substance that can become water.
And if you want to move even futher away, like Jupiter, the moon Europa is literally covered in ice and water.

ambac is just use the momentum of your limbs and/or binders to change direction no? So AMBAC is just as applicable in the air as in space. If AMBAC is used to balance the machine on the ground as well, then obviously ambac is even more important. https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/why-beetle...

Re: What kind of labour work could an 18m MS do?
Alot of things, MS are pretty flexible after all. But thing is, whatever the ms can do, a Ball or Mistral pod or the debris leaning shuttle from Origin can do just as well, if not better. After all, those machines are dedicated for labour work, while a MS (despite developed based on those) are the r...

Re: How exactly do internal Phase Shift armor work?
Because acceleration and g-force can do a number on machinery as well, PS-armor will improve the structural strength, and allow the joints to handle more of those and thereby move faster. Not to mention PS-armor would also be more resistant to the heat generated from the friction as well. I suspect ...
