Re: Zaku II F2 Anti-Air Weapon

Absolutely agree, an escape vehicle cares more about speed than armor. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't part of the corefighter exposed after docking with the Gundam? I haven't been able to find a video of either the original RX 78-2 or the Zephyranthes docking but I could have sworn part of the co...

Re: Zaku II F2 Anti-Air Weapon

Oh interesting, for some reason I was expecting this weapon show up in space so I never checked the land episodes. During EP4 one of the poorly maintained Zakus used by the Zeon remnants can be seen using the AA magazine to fire upon the Corefighter II that was being flown by the Anaheim defector. H...

Zaku II F2 Anti-Air Weapon

Good afternoon everyone, I was looking at the Robot Spirits Zaku II F2 figure coming out in November and noticed something interesting. From the press release: "The Zaku Machine Gun can be changed to a new anti-aircraft magazine model". Looking at the pictures the anti-aircraft model appears to be s...

Re: RB79 Ball Variants and Successors

Balls aren't getting the real appreciation they deserve. They maybe considered metal coffins, but the truth is that they aren't really dying out as many as you think. The EFSF enlisted 1200 SP-W03 to be turned into RB-79s, and after the war, you still get somewhere around 800 to be turned into RB-7...

Re: RB79 Ball Variants and Successors

Not really that effective... they are considered metal coffins for a good reason. The only thing Balls can do remotely effectively is fighting in numbers at range bombardment or as limited support bombardment from a distance, which isn't that great cause its sensor range isn't that much better than...

RB79 Ball Variants and Successors

Good morning everyone, My wife really enjoys the concept of the Ball as a stop gap measure to deal with Zeon's emerging MS threat. She's also quite a fan of the simple design but has been curious as to how effective they are. I'm familiar with this thread which lists several Ball variants in the OYW...

Re: GM Sniper Custom Family Tree

The current view seems to be the generator power really didn't matter that much in using a beam weapon. The Zeon side is different because MS-06 and 09s didn't have the power connector in their hands to use the beam weapons. The EFF side has compatibility to all of their weapons, and the lack of po...

Re: GM Sniper Custom Family Tree

Very interesting! I'm familiar with the first Ground Type from MSV, as I recall it used a railgun like weapon similar to the Desert GM but I didn't know the GM Sniper Custom predated the Ground GM completely. I'm also surpsied that the GM Sniper which is a modified Ground Type doesn't require additi...

GM Sniper Custom Family Tree

Good morning everyone, I have been trying to figure out where the GM Sniper Custom is descended from. I recall from reading a GM Sniper II thread a long while ago that the Sniper Custom and GM II were developed in parallel rather than sequentially (which I suppose is required considering how many GM...

Re: Grypts Conflict - Titans MS Comparative Performance

Good morning everyone, Thank you for the replies. I've done a lot of reading on the Gryps conflict behind the scenes on this forum but before today I had not learned the AEUG was originally created by a BGEN writing off a small armada as decommissioned / retired. Pretty sly! Ultimately I think it's ...

Grypts Conflict - Titans MS Comparative Performance

Good morning everyone. Long time lurker, I made an account hoping you can offer some expert opinions. I introduced by wife to Zeta Gundam this past year and we got about 2/3rds the way through before it was time for deployment. While she's excited to finish the series when I get back she has been as...
