I just recently got a used copy of Heavy Gear Design Works http://www.dp9.com/Products/DP9-037.htm , and I like it quite a bit. I guess (although not specifically credited in the book) that the main designs are by Ghislain Barbe: http://www.qosmiq.com/cdiadrone/ghis/ I don't intend to ever play Heavy Gear or any other P&P game, but can any of you suggest any books (even out of print ones) with nice lineart etc. i am particularly interested in Heavy Gear, but Jovian Chronicles and Mekton are cool too. So if you know of any books related to these series with nice art, and little to no game rules, let me know.
Specifically, I'm curious about the Mechanical Catalogue: Exoarmors and Spacecraft(Jovian Chronicles), Northern (and Southern)Vehicles Compendium One: Gears and Striders (heavy Gear), Heavy Gear Technical manual, and the Mekton Techbook. Are any of these worth tracking down for the art? If any of them are redundant, (repeat much or all the same art) please also let me know.
I'm not looking for Robotech, Votoms, or Bubblegum Crisis book recommendations, as I have those ones already.
