Re: Gundam Vs. Series Discussion Topic

So basically, if you use the Main while you're in red lock, then use the Sub, it'll have red lock tracking even if you boost back to green lock range?

Yes, but ONLY if you are rapid-subbing, it doesn't happen if you wait and drop a bit then try firing it before landing. Just rapidly tapping sub backwards, as long as the first shot was red lock, the later ones would be too.

Re: Gundam Vs. Series Discussion Topic

Yeah not the thing most people were expecting out of Extreme VS Force, a Vita installment.
Not sure if want....

Re: Gundam Vs. Series Discussion Topic

Noticed something on the website and took a closer look...it seems that they're taking Assists out of characters' movelists (the RX-78, Zeta, ZZ, and Exia all lost theirs). Presumably this is due to the format changes.

Re: Gundam Vs. Series Discussion Topic

So is EXVS Force Vita-exclusive?

Would be a backwards step imo

Re: Gundam Vs. Series Discussion Topic

Not sure if it matters, but there's gonna be an english translation of the EXVs Force game when it comes out. My source is an article on Siliconera, which in turn cites a twitter message from Playstation Asia.

English Version... but for Southeast Asia.

Game basically seems like Extreme Vs Next Plus. It isn't the next main game in the series, just a fun side diversion. Remember, the Vita is still relevant in Japan.

Re: Gundam Vs. Series Discussion Topic

It actually looks like it could still be fun. It was pretty nice having a portable GvG on PSP back a few years. Its just a shame I don't own a Vita nor do they sell for very cheap though.

T.M. Revolution is back, not only to perform ExVs Force's theme song "Inherit the Force", but he'll be playing Heine Westenfluss, whose GOUF Ignited is joining the roster.

Legilis promo video. Here's the Wiki's current guess at the moveset:

a: Legilis Rifle
CSa: Legilis Rifle (Gerobi)
b: Beam Saber
CSb: Currently unknown, but it's only usable during Burst.
ab: Legilis Bit
ac: Beam Buster
bc: Fawn Farsia Assist (all-range attack/gerobi)
EX: For the Sake of Distant Eden

Re: Gundam Vs. Series Discussion Topic

Figured I'd post up some more bits about Force. For starters, the keys...
-D-Pad, L-Stick, and the four face buttons are the same as always. As a note, there are only two sub-weapons this time: Square + Triangle and Square + X. I always felt like Triangle + X was too hard to do on the PSP (which is why I remapped the controls for Next Plus), so I guess Bandai agreed.
-L activates Command Mode, where you can order around CPU allies.
-R is a "Shift" button, like in A.C.E. R + Square and R + Triangle are alternate inputs for Sub-Weapons 1 and 2, R + Circle puts you in Free Camera Mode, and R + X is an alternate input for Guard (the website lists the main input as Up, Down; I can't help but wonder if this is a typo).
-R-Stick cycles through targets when you're in Lock On Mode and controls the camera in Free Camera Mode.

Now some movelists. I put these in spoiler text just to save space. You'll notice that Assists have been nixed completely.

Re: Gundam Vs. Series Discussion Topic

I saw somewhere that both FAZZ and ZZ Enhanced are in the game, just like Maxi Boost. Which is good cause I kinda like Enhanced ZZ better.

Re: Gundam Vs. Series Discussion Topic

Will larger units such as the Queen Mantha and Neo Zeong be playable, or will they be CPU-only units?

Actually, let me clarify this: The original ZZ is in Maxi as a separate unit from the Full Armor ZZ. The Enhanced ZZ is the form that the Full Armor assumes when you dump the armor (and thus it's in Full Boost as well). The main differences:
-Base ZZ is 2500 compared to FA/Enhanced's 3000, so it has fewer HP and lower damage.
-Base ZZ has the same basic moveset as the Enhanced's, but they have different Assists: ZZ has Puru's Qubeley while Enhanced has the Zeta Zaku.
-Base ZZ can charge the high mega cannon up to three levels, like the Sekiha Tenkyoken.
-Base ZZ can perform a separate attack like the Force Impulse, during which it can attack with the beam saber or high mega cannon. Enhanced can swap into Full Armor and vice-versa.
-Base ZZ can transform into the G-Fortress, the first time it's been able to do so in the Vs. Series.
-Base ZZ's melee set is less varied than the Enhanced but better than the Full Armor.
-Base ZZ's Burst is a full power high mega cannon, while Enhanced and Full Armor's are the giant beam saber as in Full Boost.

As for both versions being in Force...no clue yet. We'll have to wait and see.

Re: Gundam Vs. Series Discussion Topic

I had thought FAZZ lost its transformation/armor purge. I'll need to go and watch some MB vids of it now. I do remember the Force scans I saw having Enhanced ZZ listed separately as 2500 cost unit though. Would make sense since Force is simplifying most units' move sets.
