I disagree, if anything it looks twice as intimidating, that dark blue colour just gives it a souless vide, and the fact that it would blend into the night sky better would make it even more terrifying at night

That 1/48th Scale Gundam is INSANE!! Man... I can't imagine building something that big! And all Resin? Dang!

The more I see of the MG Exia... the more I think I might break my lifelong promise: "Never purchase a MG kit unless it's a RX-121-1 Hazel (or variant thereof)". Dang... what a kit!
yea eh, ever since AoZ came out i started buying more 1/144 kits because those designs are only HGUC, and since then, iv been buying only 1/144 because of their convenient size and large variety of designs in any series...i havnt bought any MGs because of these pluses. My first MG purchase in a long time was the Sinanju last week because it was a steal ($45) and because i want to do a candy coat after i tested it out on a HG Arche (ill post those pics later). But after seeing this here MG Exia, ill have to get one because of how nice the MG is and how nice the little gimmicks are.

Also, you think the 1/48 is something...i want to you to properly read this thread on the 1/35 RX-78-2 Gundam. And i suggest you go here and check out the rest of this modeller's site for some spectacular work like a 1/100 Deepstriker from Gundam Sentinel : http://www.mtomczek.com/

http://ruliweb2.nate.com/ruliboard/read ... del&left=e <---whenever i see a FAZZ or a ZZ, i always think to myself that retconning is a bad idea because apparently this ugly monstrosity was the spawn of the Ex-S Gundam :P

http://blog.daum.net/_blog/BlogView.do? ... recenttext <--- Not a fan of the 'evolve' style but this one is really nice. Actually in general iv noticed that the Nu Gundam Evolve design was always a rather neat one even when the modeller went overboard.

http://blog.daum.net/_blog/BlogView.do? ... story_home <---this is a MG Force Impulse equipped with Vicious Project's Blast pack that was made to go with MG Strike Freedom (conversion set) I rather liked the amount of detail VP added.

http://blog.daum.net/_blog/BlogView.do? ... story_home <---I recently bought me a MG Sinanju because its one ofthose designs that i think every gunpla'r must have whether they like the scale or not. Iv been thinking of a colour scheme ever since (and perhaps even before then) and have decided and am 98% certain im gonna candy-coat it in red (only Zeonic designs look good in gloss). But then i see works done like in the link in deep and vibrant red with a delicious flat scheme and im back to square one

http://blog.daum.net/_blog/BlogView.do? ... story_home <---the conversion set on this MG Sazabi is made by 'Patchwork'...God do i hate it.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/64158472@N00/sets/ <---My Flickr contains a few goodies. I think i may have posted it here somewhere but eh, here it is. Its got one set with 760 custom gunpla. You lot may have already seen it but some you may not have.

MG Exia on Dalong

Looks like this time there wasn't a big cosmetic or proportional difference from the NG version.

There sure isn't. In my case, I have the Exia Avalanche and got the MG Exia, and to be honest, I'm kind of disappointed in the MG since I feel like I already put it together and then some with the Avalanche. Articulation and panel line details on both kits are comparable, and I think replacing the blue rubber bands with the reflective plastic strips didn't make much sense since the material is barely reflective. The MG Exia is not the jump in quality there was between the NG and MG Infinite Justice for instance.

It already looks better in that paintscheme, but the original still has the fabulous going on.

Just for fun, here's a Junglecannon.
Gundam is not about heroes looking badass by saving love interests. Gundam is about heroes bawling and spouting philosophies after failing to save love interests.
Basically true.

Scratch builds always amaze me. Where do you come up with the parts?
