Speaking of Gundam 00 kits, I was wondering this - why haven't we even heard of any news about kits for the AEU? I mean since their MS designs are total ripoffs of the Union's, I see no reason why Bandai doesn't just remodel the current Union kits into AEU kits and just sell them for extra cash, instead we see nothing but Flags and Tierens from the HG00 line.

I have a sneaking suspicion that Bandai may have major something up its sleeve in terms of AEU kits, if we're lucky, maybe we'll even see an Agrissa. I mean, it's either that or Bandai is too lazy to even remodel the Union kits for extra profit( a thought that shocks me greatly as I never would expect Bandai to pass up a money making plan *stares at MG Zaku and Strike*)...

I think your post is more suited for the Upcoming Merchandise thread. But for the record...

You make it sound that easy, when it isn't. If the Flag had an internal frame onto which its shell attaches to, then maybe. But that isn't the case with 1/144 HG models. So as much as in-universe AEU designs are copied from those of the Union, model-wise it isn't that simple.

Anyways, on topic:
I find it weird why Bandai decided to mold Virtue's faceplate in one color.
I'm trying to convince myself that it's because of the Nadleeh's head being in the way, but part of me really thinks that it isn't much of an excuse. Oh well, there's a reason why I paint anyways, lol.

I really liked the Strike mod. Given the simplicity, it sure does make the entire model a whole lot stockier. Just my thing. Especially since I'm in the process of trying to come up with my own Strike mod; this just makes everything simpler.

The Stargazer looks impressive. Pity they didn't include the build pics.

is that going to be a MG kit of the Stargazer? *wishes he could read Japanese* But the constant MG's in there makes me hope so...

No, just under the title in the first pic it says it was scratch built by Akira Takamori. Those MG's your seeing must be related to the parts used to build it. Wonderfully done, I might add.

Its a shame i forgot to take pics of Exia's GN Drive which isnt the stock sea shell thing we know of. I opted for a more Astraea design and thats what iv got there.

The Dynames is exactly as i wanted it here:
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y207/E ... ynames.jpg
...though i wished i added more silver beads in other spots like on the knee caps and skirts. Next time im painting ill finish painting the rifle's scope and parts of the pistols with dark gray...too much of a hassle to mix paints and bust out the airbrush for just a few spots.

And a shot of my Astrea and other spare HG Exia. The other set of Astraea parts im gonna paint as sort of a...Astraea Graham Custom simply cuz the set has the visor parts for it. I think it will be badass.

And you can also see a half-made MG G05 and a finished 1/144 LED Mirage V2.

Just finishing the Spring Break off in here. Actually, I'm bummed that this storm didn't fall in a school day :/

As for Animax, colossal hits or misses in their prices. I go there sometimes.

Maybe it's just me, but the Gundam-FIX-style of clean modeling seems so uninteresting to me nowadays. Maybe because it's so overused.

The proto Ex-S and The-O Hauer win handsdown. I think the Ex-S is the best of the two but only because on teh Hauer the modeller didnt take advantage of all the gray area and tiny details on the back where he could have added tons of well-placed and tasteful bling.

I am soo over this mindset of "Let's throw some metal onto this!" Metal thrusters that all look alike, extraneous metal tubes, screws and rivets. What is this, the USSR? Has no one realized that exposed riveting is a dead technique?

While we are at it, hey, let's decal a PARAGRAPH of text onto the shoulder armor. Maybe the enemy pilot will be so distracted by trying to read it that we can cut him down while he is trying to decipher the text.

Maybe I just don't get it. Yet I see conversions and custom builds all the time that manage to be aesthetically pleasing, yet still unique. Anybody see that PG Zaku that won the Japanese All-Zaku contest? Something like that. Quite a few entries in that contest were great, and not necessarily the ones that made the top 10.

What kind of question is that? I'm honestly considering getting two copies just to do the Double Fin Funnel, it looks that nice.

My only gripe is that the elbows and knees are a bit wanting for articulation in comparison to other recent HGUC kits; but considering how great the thing looks, I'm willing to overlook those two points.

Or get four and stack twelve fin funnels on either side, like in that one picture somewhere down the page. Anyway, I don't think I've seen a ripple-effect on a beam sabre like that other than the Red Frame, though it does make it look unusual.

They decided against that because most Gundam fans already have something up their butt.

Now, pretty much any model related pictures can go in here, even if the models aren't Gundam related (Meaning planes and ships and all that good stuff). Also, reference pics (Be them of real life pictures or other models or whatever) and things like that can go in here.
