Yesterday I bought four Gunplas
High Grade
RX-78-2 Gundam Starter Kit Vol. 2
Zaku II FS (Garma Custom)
Gelgoog Marine
Gera Doga (Rezin Custom)
Last night I finished the Gundam with no issues and came out pretty well except for a really loose right trigger finger hand.
Now I'm working on the Zaku but noticed a really big problem I finished the arms, legs, and torso but the legs don't stick to the torso. I double checked and yet I am not missing anything. I followed the instructions yet the ball doesn't stick where it should be on the leg.
What should I do? Is this a common thing?

Re: New to Gunpla help
Can you post a pic of the leg that keeps falling off, particularly the polycaps and also the ball joints on the pelvic/crotch area?

Re: New to Gunpla help
It looks like a case of loose polycaps, based on your pics, coz I don't see any problem with the ball joints... Were the polycaps distorted or anything? You might wanna try tightening them up with some white glue. Just apply enough to thicken the surface of the ball joints and make them fit snugly to the polycaps.

Re: New to Gunpla help
I don't believe any of the parts are distorted everything was brand new.
As for the white glue can I use Elmers glue. And how do I apply it? Do I just pour a drop and wait for it to get hard then see if it fits?

Re: New to Gunpla help
try to apply thin even layers around the ball joint, maybe 2 layers first. wait till it dries, then try fitting the leg. add a bit more white glue if it's still a bit loose.

Hobby is an understatement, now I have 20 kits already.
My wallet sure hates this hobby.

Spend your time well. I have enough experience to do MG stuff, but not enough time. So instead I buy SD kits and Converge and reminisce D:
