An interesting, if non-canon, take on why Jerid, Emma, and Kacricon of all people were assigned to be the test pilots for the Gundam Mk. IIs.

"I thought I heard a girls name. but that kid looks like a boy." Kamille then goes on to ruin Jerids whole life

Well, to be perfectly fair, Kamille is right: it IS a unisex name in French - spelled "Camille", so it is a perfectly fine name for a boy - if uncommon. On the other hand, in Jerid's defense "Camille" used pretty much exclusively as a girl's name everywhere else, though some languages such as Italian have gender-specific variations of the name.
And it's not like Jerid didn't have his part to play in ruining Kamille's life. In my opinion, they both ruined each other's lives.
