Yeah, I thought about the anime but this refers to Gato using it against Cima in the manga/pic drama

The assault boat might be the Jicco, looking at the lineart.

Good gravy they're really making this second drama look like crap with sudden MS revamps. They've rolled out another few units of the Cima Fleet, only this time they're "camouflage pattern" versions. God, they look terrible!

What kind of MS revamps? Only "camouflage pattern" Gelgoog Marines or something "new"?

They're just the Gelgoog's with a "camo" pattern splotched on them.

Cima Fleet suffers from the dreaded SS Pox!! :D

The paint scheme that Deacon abhors is definitely taken from late-war Waffen-SS camo patterns. Images courtesy of At The Front, a website for WW II re-enactors.

It is obviously infantry camo, in keeping with MS-as-large-soldiers idea. Compare with this paint guide to actual Panzer tanks for camo types.

It would be a good line-breaker camo for Zeon Remnants on Earth in a temperate or subarctic forest zone. In space...they are poxy.

Especially when only some parts of the body are painted in that colour scheme.

I will concede the color scheme if the 'Googs get to hide in front of a spotted colony facing.

You're just jealous because you don't have impeccable ninja stealth skills.

Re: Mayfly of Space 2 Picture Drama announced

No comment on the half-baked camo.

Regarding the Dra C Custom shoulder thrusters, I'm more inclined to think that they do could have originally belonged to a Gobble:

-As Mark stated in another thread, a Jicco is probably around 60m longs, which would make its thrusters too big for a MS.

-The Gobble happens to have 3 main thrusters, so they could have scrapped a couple of them for the two shoulders of the Dra C Custom. The need to scrap two Gobbles could be the reason it's not as common as the standard Dra C.

-The Gobble is the predecessor to the Gattle, whose thrusters were used for the standard Dra C, which makes more reasonable to think that another unit of the same type would be candidate for a similar design.

Anyway, I'm particularly hoping that since the Dra C Custom uses a regular right arm manipulator, that we may end up seeing a Dra C, Zaku or other Zeon MS wielding the handheld version of the Dra C's gatling gun, as depicted in the HGUC kit:

The shot showing the GP02A with the anti-ship rifle from The Origin gives me hope of it being possible.

Re: Mayfly of Space 2 Picture Drama announced

This drama is rather odd...

They chose to cherry pick scenes from the series and mix them together with some art from the Rebellion artist, half of which is animated and a couple nods to MS IGLOO battle maps. There is one scene in particular of the GP-02 versus the Camo Gelgoog which looks absolutely terrible (lack of detail and horribly misdrawn units a la 0079 Gundam style). The plot with the new character is almost pointless to include as I believe he was killed off right away, but I have to rewatch.

Also thrown into the mix is the fact that Cima actually meets with Bask and she even mentions Titans, so apparently that was being kick started around her secret machinations on the moon. I'll have more details on it when I can rewatch it on something other than my TV. Otherwise, the series looks amazing in Blu-ray. Can't wait to marathon it all :D

They also have the "English version" of Evergreen called "Star Bright" by MIO which is an interesting change.

Re: Mayfly of Space 2 Picture Drama announced

Did you notice if there are other cameos, such as the aforementioned anti-ship rifle from The Origin?

I was kind of hoping for a MS-14F with a beam rifle and/or Zulu shield, or a MS-06F2 with the handheld version of the MS-21C's gatling gun.
