The Official Gundam Build Fighters Try Anime Thread Mk II
Re: The Official Gundam Build Fighters Try Anime Thread Mk I
I'm assuming she's a brand new character. Given everything that made the Meijin rank such drama last time is now gone, it wouldn't surprise me if Yuuki is more open with his selection process and/or increased the numbers. I mean if your agenda is 'Gunpla is fun for everyone', a single person can't really embody that ideal now can they?

Could be her cousin/daughter or something. Either way, Lady's bound to get a backstory. I eagerly await it.
I hope next weak brings a more satisfying battles. I never could love the GN-X, for some reason. It's a cool design, but the animation for that MS is so... unappealing to me.

I concur. One Meijin-level fighter was bad enough, but a team of three of them is going to be...daunting, to say the least.gunform1010 wrote:The Meijin Corps. *gulp*

Now I really want to see that though. And the OP seems to indicate that we will, given the shot of Meijin Kawaguchi III/Tatsuya, complete with Badass Longcoat and Cool Shades, apparently.

I doubt Tatsuya though. How old was he in the original GBF?Dark Duel wrote:I concur. One Meijin-level fighter was bad enough, but a team of three of them is going to be...daunting, to say the least.gunform1010 wrote:The Meijin Corps. *gulp*

Seventeen years old. He is now twenty-four, the same age Ricardo Fellini was in Season 1. And he's already turned up a couple of times in the first few episodes of GBFT.

What I want to see
Team with the Mega-shiki, girl and an obsessive gunpla kid = early season rivals
Destiny kid + Minato + ???? = mid season rivals
Team Meijin = Late season rivals
Kyojin/guy with the Hell Hydra = Final boss

Again, you really think GBF-T aim SO low that they will end this season with just U-19?
Next Wednesday will be episode 6 against Dragonar Team, then what left are Sudou's team, Aquatic Team, "Simon"'s team, and possibly Gyanko rematch. Unless they go Dragon Ball route, that isn't even 13 episode.
And Minato is from Osaka, you would think that there would be problem for him to suddenly butt-in Kanto's league.

It's also possible that this Lady is the current gunpla world champion. A prize for winning the tournament could be a battle with the current world champion and the meijin. The tournament is called the Gunpla Battle under 19 Japanese Championship west Tokyo block. This means there is most likely an east, south, and west block of the tournament as well.
Kuruni most likely means the show won't end with the Japanese under 19 tournament and might move on to a more under 19 world tournament. The current tournament seems to be set up to find who will represent Japan in this world tournament. As for episode count there are four qualifier matches, and then we will most likely get an episode break before the semi finals, and then another episode break before the finals. The winner will most likely go on to face the champion of the other blocks to determine which team will go to the under 19 gunpla world championship. Fumina never makes it clear how far this tournament structure stays for under 19 battlers.
