Gaza A, Gaza M, Zaku III Recon Type & More From Advance Of Zeta Reboot

Post by Gelgoog Jager » Wed Mar 29, 2017 1:28 am

After being teased a few volumes ago with its torso, we are finally introduced to the Gaza A in Advance of Z Reboot:

Also, the Gaza C gets a marine variant, the AMX-003M Gaza M, which seems to have a lot in common with AMX-008M from previous volumes.

Moving, the MS-06E series finally gets a Zeon made descendant, the AMX-011EW Zaku III Recon Type, which seems to have many traits inherited from the MS-06E3, from which it also seems to borrow its color scheme:

Alongside it we see a an Asshimar EWAC variant and derived unit which almost has as many attached letters and numbers as its base mode number.

Finally, a couple more volumes shows what happens when you are bored and have spare Psycho Gundma Mk II limbs lying around:

Do we have any solid number of Zaku III which have been produced? And does this particular AMX-011EW Zaku III Recon Type have any advantage over existing models such as the EWAC HiZack? It seems to me that designing a variant from a limited-run model can possess difficulties in procuring parts in the future (though if they have a large quantity of Zaku III laying around, it may make sense.)

Also, can we conclude that facilities under the Titan's control maintain a relationship, as Psyco Gundam is made by Murasame, and the TR-series by Konpeitoh.

Contrary to what the profiles of the Doven Wolf and Zaku III claim, there are several indications that the base AMX-011 was deployed much earlier than the Doven Wolf, supposedly being developed at the same time as the Dreissen, both being based in older Zeon models in order to speed up their development. On ZZ itself we can briefly observe what seem to be a couple of Zaku III units at Dakar at the gates of the building to which the parade is heading.

My pet theory is that the unit that competed and lost against the Doven Wolf was the AMX-011S, since besides Mashymre's custom unit we can spot two more units in the same configuration (but standard AMX-011 color scheme) among Glemy's forces, indicating that they were stored at Axis where the Doven Wolf units were also located at. Most likely both models were tested at Axis before determining that the AMX-014 was the better of the two.

Back to the AMX-011EW, since we are told that the AMX-011 was designed to be able to be modified using a lot of optional parts, for which the AMX-011S would seem to be an attempt to standardize a particular equipment loadout (which seems to be focused on space combat), it would seem feasible to assume that any AMX-011 can also be modified into a AMX-011EW as long as the optional parts are available.

I suggest taking a look at this thread:

http://www.mechatalk.net/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=16396

I go into larger detail about why I think the AMX-011 was deployed earlier, balofo kindly shares with us some scans that show many of the proposed optional equipment for the Zaku III, including different heads, backpacks and weapons, and Mark also gives some insight on what other kinds of equipment the Zaku III could have ended with among other details, such as the base AMX-011 being a ground model, which has two missile launcher pods on its back of the same type as the ReGelg and he also left me wondering if the chest connected "bazooka" from Balofo's scan might actually be supposed to be the chest connected anti-beam mega launcher he mentions.

Finally, I want to point out that despite their related roles, the RMS-119 is not that closely related to the MS-0E series or this new AMX-011EW, with both of the later placing greater emphasis in visual observation by adding additional camera's around the MS body and equipping a camera gun. Additionally, the MS-06E series were supposedly based on the MS-06S series in order to have better mobility and better chance at escaping upon being found, which is why the had additional chest thrusters which the AMX-011EW also inherited, which are likely optional parts the same as the rear skirt of the AMX-011S.

Edit: I don't know much about the TR series, but we do know that Axis captured the damaged Psycho Gundam Mk II at the end of the Gryps war and proceeded to repair it. It's likely that any surplus parts were produced by Axis/Neo Zeon for such purpose, and may not have any direct relation with the original manufacturer, much how AE began producing it's own line of weapons for the Gundam Mk II.
