Re: IBO MSV

Apparently, the Astaroth's rifle, as well a zaku-esque pile bunker and some joint parts will be coming out along with the December issue of Gundam ACE.

So that's pretty cool.

This month's HJ:

1)Astaroth Origin: end of the mystery, this was how it looked when the Warrens discovered it. The other page has more BW lineart.

2)Kallisto: custom Hyakuri of Tantotempo's executive Jean Marco Sareano. It's for high speed/flexible battle. It has distinctive equipment on both arms that's difficult to reproduce with current tech. Those arm Variable Blade Shields are actually the shoulders of the Astaroth Origin.

3)Labrys: Tantotempo custom Rodi Frame. It has thick armor and enhanced intercommunication sensors in the head to escort VIPs.

The story is garbage but at least they are churning out lots of MSVs

So true.

Hopefully they make some of these designs into kits and they don't just leave it at the Astaroth and the Astaroth Origin. I'd especially like to see the Hakuri Rodi and Labrys as kits.

Re: IBO MSV

I definitely wouldn't mind a Kallisto kit or the Hakuri Rodi(s) from what we've seen so far. Depending on how they set up Astaroth Origin's runners and what other suits out there have its parts (ie, do they have existing kits to build off) it shouldn't be too hard to economically churn out some of these MSV in kit form.

Re: IBO MSV

Especially when it comes to the Rodi kits. I mean, the Labrys is just a new head and new lower leg/feet parts and a color swap. The Hakuri Rodis would be a little more involved, but several of the parts they use have already showed up in other kits so it's not too much of a stretch.

According to the scan, the Kallisto has the same type of head sensor as the Hyakuri. Its high mobility is due to its shoulder and central back thrusters. The superior strength (?) of the Variable Blade Shields allow the Kallisto to use it as a close combat weapon.

Re: IBO MSV

-Origin can fly under gravity for a short period of time, the device on the right arm is for holding the sword
-Argee recovered the Blade Shields in battle with Sareano
-Tantotempo had 6 executives. Rosario Leone directed the banking sector and Sareano the transport sector. Sareano ordered the Ted assassination, Rosario opposes him
-Ted had an advisor called Buburio which requested assistance from Liarina. Buburio has an maid, Nanao, which is similar to Fumitan. Nanao pilots the heroes ship

Saw this scan (https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-q7FtJTF7JQg/ ... 867644.png) on Gundam Guy. It basically says that Astaroth Origin is a versatile/general purpose machine that can be used on any battlefield. It is armed with mid-close range weaponry, and the flying form is known as Gliding (?) mode.

That scan also confirms that that part on the right forearm was a brace/support for weapons, like we guessed.

This month's HJ:

Unknown Gundam Frame: Mysterious MS that attacked the Astaroth. It's pretty much made of Origin armor parts(minus the face, antenna, knees, left shoulder, right shin). Uses a Glaive and the 210mm Anti-materiel Rifle(presumably built from leaked info).

This might get a gunpla, just need to know if the Origin kit will have runner switches for the head and other different parts.

We now know 7 of the 26 remaining Gundam Frames: Barbatos, Gusion, Kimaris, Astaroth, Unknown, Type B and Type C.

Re: IBO MSV

All this swapping around of parts raises the question now of just what the hell this Gundam Frame looked like with its original armor since most of its existing equipment seems stolen from the original Astaroth and the rifle the Warren's equippied it with. Next up: Unknown Gundam Frame 'Origin', MSV of a MSV!

But yes, since it's using so many shared parts and it has that all-important marketing gimmick of 'Gundam' attached to it, it could get a kit pretty easily.

It looks like it's holding a hockey stick.

That means we already know what the completed version looks like:

That Unknown Gundam Frame look interesting, especially when it goes bare frame on the right arm.

It's as if that was its main purpose of existing. :P

If they make a HG 1/144 of this it's almost a guerentee buy for me as I like the color and design.........except for the staff.

Re: IBO MSV

It's like a Gelgoog's naginata, just without the 'beam' part.

Anyhow, thought I'd inventory Astaroth's parts and figure out what's still unaccounted for. Am I missing anything?

- Found parts

Gundam Frame (recovered at the start)
Variable Blade Shields (recovered from Kallisto)
Backpack 'tail' (maybe, the Kallisto has a part that looks like this but I don't think it's been mentioned as a recovered part)
Torso, right arm/shoulder, almost all of the legs (on the mystery Gundam)
Backback thrusters (on the mystery Gundam)

- Missing parts

Head
Left arm/shoulder
Knee armor
Right shin armor
Weapons and the rack they're stored in

Re: IBO MSV

This Asteroth and Asteorth Origin thing is reminding me of Astraea and Astraea F because of their color schemes, even if Astraea is just only a recolor visual wise.

Looks like we've got another Graze variant, though this one is fairly different from most we've seen so far:

No idea what's going on with its weapon, but I like it.

Re: IBO MSV

Gundamguy has some images from Astaroth Origin's box. The weapons are Shotgun, Sledgehammer and Gamma Nanolaminate Sword but without manual scans (which I'm sure we'll have soon now that the kit is out) we don't know what that means.
