Real life parallels to EFAF aircraft?

Are any of the Earth Federation aircraft based on real life ones in terms of specs or design? If so, which ones?

I'm actually curious the answer to this question. I've often thought the point of the aircraft in Gundam was that they were not supposed to look like any existing aircraft. More based on aircraft/spacecraft from older super robot shows or science fiction rather than real world aircraft. Curious to know the answer.

There are a few real-world aircraft here and there, like Amuro's XB-70... but by in large most of the aircraft in Gundam are deliberately not modeled on anything real-world.

I'd say it is based off of the Shinden, WWII test fighter.

Which is likely a more familiar plane to Japanese people.
