It's...kinda common knowledge now. =)

Can anyone give me info on this?
I know it has to do w/ Mospeada, but what is it? I think someone told me it was concept art for a sequel unrelated to Robotech. Can anyone confirm that and/or translate some of the text.

Don't steal, the government hates competition.
Well, it certainly looks like concept art for a then (2007) planned sequel to MOSPEADA, showing the new LEGIOSS and DREAD2 and likeing them to the F/A-18 Hornet compared to the WWII era P-51 Mustang representing the original Legioss and Dread.
I knever knew there were plans for a MOSPEADA sequel or remake, though.
I can't read the text, so that's something left for the people versed in Japanese.

Actually...no. The text mainly talks about the distinctive WW2 D-Day 'Invasion Stripes' markings and how this design concept has been used through the years on Mospeada mecha & the Hornet, rather than any sort of performance/tech level analogies between RL aircraft & Mospeada mecha.T.V. wrote:Well, it certainly looks like concept art for a then (2007) planned sequel to MOSPEADA, showing the new LEGIOSS and DREAD2 and likeing them to the F/A-18 Hornet compared to the WWII era P-51 Mustang representing the original Legioss and Dread.
The 2007 version of the Legioss appears to be simply what the artist felt it would look like if Mospeada was animated in 2007 instead of 1984.

Actually, in Japanese it's written "Shisukuudo", so I'd go with "Sis-kuud" or "Shis-kuud"Shori wrote:As for Sisquiede's name, I pronounce it "Sis-quee-day".

Vague clue. Clue 2. Try looking on the Kotobukiya site or something, I guess.r34racer01 wrote:http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i19/r ... 94eb_o.png
Anyone know what this is and where its from?
And thanks for the translation, asterphage. I think this is one of those cases where Japanese phonetics can't really replicate occidental writing. >_> I still don't buy that the first E is silent.

Depending on the westurn language, that "e" would be silent as well. It's clearly not meant to emulate english phoenomes, so I wouldn't apply those to this. Looking at the arangement of vowels, "Sees-Quuud" isn't actually a bad pronounciation. It strikes me as a very-nonn english use of roman letters. The vowel combination isn't french, either, but it's closer too. Whichever way it's sliced, the "e" actually would be silent.

the Wing gundam is a custom model built by a guy known as Beertax who frequents the hobbyfanatics message board. He's very fond of the MG Wing Gundam Ver Ka, and has built well over half a dozen custom versions of it, and seems to have no intention of slowing down. It's not an official design.

thanks neolordmaxwell. I knew the first one looked a little wing-ish, and what gave that away for me were the shoulders. Looks exactly like the shoulders of the wing gundam zero.
