Re: Turinu's Design Compendium - 9/20/12 - Altair Design Fil

It's been awhile since I've done a front page update, but I've finished the design documents for my Altair model (and completely forgot to put them up here, even though I put them up everywhere else).

1. NAVA-HC2A-S22 Altair (3D)
Altair Design Document 01
Altair Design Document 02
Altair Design Document 03
Altair Design Document 04
Altair Design Document 05

The Altair is a "Virtual Construct", pretty much an avatar in a virtual environment used for combat. As such, I can take a bit of leeway with its weapons and how it can operate in comparison to real life physics. Still, I kept it somewhat realistic (About as realistic as giant hulking robots can get). It tops out at around twelve meters, give or take. Its specialty is its high-powered energy supply, which allows it to utilize most of its functions simultaneously.

Its greatest advantage (and drawback) would most likely be its age; the Altair predates the Encheledon Virtual Environment, or at least parts of it do. This allows certain weapons (like its pulse blades) to damage Encheledon coding. However, it also has outdated software; too old and complex to be made completely compatible with the Encheledon. This makes the machine much harder to control compared to modern Fight Gears, though with enough skill and effort that handicap can be partially overcome.

Every mecha in the Encheledon has a "Special Ability" they can use by sacrificing their Special points (The effects aren't permanent and don't carry over). In the Altair's case, it can redistribute all eight of its Special points into any other category except Power for a short period of time; afterward all of its attributes balance out at five points each for a certain period of time before returning to normal levels.

Re: Turinu's Design Compendium - 9/20/12 - Altair Design Fil

Restarted work on my old Desert Blossom story, with redesigns for the old mecha.

Right now I'm working on remaking the Bunker Sin. More glowy lines, bigger pile bunkers, and huge shoulders.

And the original for reference: Bunker Sin Original

EDIT: Finished the arms, minus the hands and increased the size of the pile bunkers.

Re: Turinu's Design Compendium - 11/21/12 - New Battle Frame

It's been awhile since I put up anything! Today I bring to the table two new Battle Frames for my Frame Crash story idea, the Striker Light and the Plated Light. This brings me to a total of 5/15 Starter Frames that I want for Frame Crash (10/21 if you count Prototype and Custom Frames).

Re: Turinu's Design Compendium - 11/21/12 - New Battle Frame

Taking progress shots on how I make my 3D models. Well, my Battle Frames in particular. When it comes to my Battle Frames I use the template on the far left; other models I make from scratch.

Re: Turinu's Design Compendium - 11/21/12 - New Battle Frame

Thanks! I plan on having five sets for each weight class, all being mix and match. Then from there I'll make new sets every now and then to continue expanding choices for parts. :3

------------------------------

So, I found an old Franken I was working on when cleaning out an HDD last night. Even though I stopped frankening, it looked so sad being incomplete so I decided to finish it.

1. ANS-002/Z Norn Mk. III (Franken)
Norn Mk. III Production Colors

The successor to the Norn Mk. I and Mk. II, the Mk. III is an Eighth Generation Knightmare Frame Mass Produced by the State of Aesir (Formerly the Aesir Mercenary Organization, before being recognized as a country). It was the mainstay unit for the country following its replacement of the Norn Mk. II and was mostly relegated to border defense and patrol. Having been in service for over two decades however, it was considered obsolete timeline-wise when the RP was supposed to start. Still, it's a formidable Eighth Generation model capable of holding its own in groups.

Re: Turinu's Design Compendium - 4/19/13 - New Frame, Group

Alright, it's been awhile since I posted anything new. Today I have two new frames and a group photo of some Battle Frames!

31. MD-TGF5000 Gunner (3D)
Gunner Frame Production Colors

32. MD-YGF400X Frost (3D)
Frost Frame Custom Colors

33. Starter Light Battle Frames (3D)

This finishes up all the Starter Light Battle Frames. Next on the list is to complete four Medium Battle Frames and four Heavy Battle Frames (And a couple more custom models), for up to twenty mecha models (fifteen of those being able to interchange parts between each other).

Re: Turinu's Design Compendium - 6/16/13 - Three New 3D Mode

Sorry I haven't updated in awhile, but pretty much anything that isn't here is most likely uploaded on my Deviant Art Page. Today I update with three new models (Well two new models, one upgrade).

34. Mobile Frame Duke (3D)
Mobile Frame Duke Render

This is a remake of one of my very first models, the Duke (For comparison). Suffice to say, I definitely think between now and then, my skills have certainly improved.

35. NB/TF02 Squire (3D)
Squire Frame Production Colors

Finally started on the Medium Battle Frames. This is the Squire; pretty much a general purpose model that really screams the "balance" of Medium Battle Frames. It's like a suped up Standard Medium Frame in some regards, though not as capable in other areas. Here it's displayed with a Heavy Weapon, the Motorblade, showing off the Medium Frame's ability to utilize weapons outside of its weight class.

36. YSR-NBX100/OC Hildebrandt [OVERCOAT] (3D)
Hildebrandt Medium Frame Original Colors w/ Overcoat

Back when I first started 3D modeling for Frame Crash, I made an "Overcoat" design for a model called the Prototype, which was the predecessor to the Hildebrandt (For comparison). Decided to do the same for its successor, and it turned out pretty well.

Re: Turinu's Design Compendium - 9/12/13 - Bunch o' stuff!

I figured I haven't posted anything here for some time, so I'd throw up a recolor of something I'm working on right now.

Aethyr WIP (Gundam Recolor)

Pretty much a mobile suit I'm working on, recolored (Plus a v-fin) to look like a Gundam. Looks damn good. :o

Here's the actual colors of the unit. This is a 3D version of the Aethyr I'm making; one of my first frankens turned into a 3D project. =D

Considering the remaking-spree I've been going on lately, don't be surprised if I somehow end up remaking it one day, preferably with a better interior! I am in the process of making a city right now, so making a full-scale city inside a full-scale colony sounds like a fun (if processor intensive) project!
