Re: Suppressed Weapons, aka Where that shot come from?
one significant problem with suppressing is that it reduces the bullets speed to subsonic levels, giving it virtually zero armour penetration, which renders suppressors almost useless for mobile suit combat. also suppressors wear out after about a dozen shots anyway, in which it just just becomes su...

Re: Metal Storm
the idea behind it is area denial, an alternative to the landmine seeing as your not allowed to use those anymore.
for all intents and purposes it's a scaled up claymore mine that's reusable

Re: Riot Supression with Mobile Suits
<agrees with Lans*> actually it's interesting you mention 5-10 meter tall robots, as one of the major parts of the plot in Gasaraki is when TA's equiped with pile drivers and machine guns (loaded with plastic rounds) are used by the SSDF to suppress the riots which occur later on in the story anothe...

Re: Armored Core Generators
compared the 1/72 mirage GAEA with a 1/72 VF-25S in battroid mode, the GAEA's head is level with the VF-25's waist/hips, which puts it at roughly 10 meters in height (give or take a meter). as for explaining how boosters (along with the different coloured exhaust) work. look up electric propulsion a...

Re: Mecha Think Tank
An AC is equal to an Arm Slave in terms of size so i'd assume they'd be roughly equal in weight and (maybe) performance.

Re: Remote weapons
thats probably beacuse the Fang seems more like a glorified missile with a beam gun attached.ThaDDeusBonzu wrote: You are forgetting one thing however: where these weapons are used. As far as i can tell, the GN fang is the only weapon capable of being deployed under gravity, in atmospheric conditions.

Re: Mecha Think Tank
in my opinion the TA's and Fakes in Gasaraki would be the most plausible in regards to real life mecha, filling a role of light armour support in urban environments, and i can see mecha filling a recon/tank hunting role much like helicopters, cept without the noise which brings me to one distinct ad...

Re: Ez8's right to bear arms
something everyone has overlooked in this argument, it is present on the controls of the gundams and is used for precise or improvised movements (like riping an arm off and using it as a club) and they exist on real fighter jets too, they are *drum roll*....thumbsticks you know those little mini joy...
