Let me take the quintessential example of Kira Yamato, the primary reason for the argument, to start - And the reasons why he should be dead three times over. Dead...or not #1: Recall that the Aegis self-detonated at extreme close range early in SEED, and that the Strike was pinned down. Recall also...

See the EDIT in my post - If you'll recall, the original planned names for SF and IJ were "Super Freedom" and "Knight Justice", but they became "Strike Freedom" and the infinitely arrogant "Infinite Justice". For whatever reason, the "Super DRAGOON" ...

With the Voiture Lumiere, I imagine SF greatly surpasses the original freedom even with the reduced wing count. OTOH, there's no evidence to support that claim. Even with the "WoL" activated, there did not seem to be a terribly significant difference, if any at all, in mobility between SF...

As opposed to Delta Astray's Ergnes Brahe, who's an angry emo-kid. And I agree. The fact that Sven: 1. Is a Natural 2. Is not a SEED-Bearer, and 3. Is an awesome pilot anyway Is what makes him so awesome. Well that and the most badass-looking Gundam this side of Epyon. And adding to the awesom...

The manner in the other thread in which Anno Domini is referred to as an 'AU' seemed quite disrespectful, with the implications that it is nothing but a fictitious convention of no relevance in history. It also smacked of a PC agenda being shoved down the craw, so to speak. I have to disagree. The ...

That WOULD be cool. No more having to be uncomfortable on long trips.

Well, now I think about it, the Out-Frame's Back Home, IIRC, included its own bathroom complete with toliet and even a bathtub...but that's optional equipment and not the MS itself.

Let's see: 1. BuCUEs dominate biped mobile suits on flat, open terrain 2. She was attacked from behind by a standard BuCUE using smoke cover, while her attention was on the opponent firing at her from the front - also in a BuCUE. And the vast majority of CE MS have basically no peripheral vision wha...

I think the shield may have 'stronger/thicker' type of Y.N.Kagami as the shield can defend against beam melee weapons and projectiles as well. Nope. The YNK on the shield is exactly the same as the main body, and just as vulnerable to beam melee weapons - Case in point: Ep42, Akatsuki V. Destiny. S...

AFAIK, the gold portion of the shield does have the YNK armor coating. The black portion, I dunno. Probably regular ABC.

Having only seen a very small portion of Late UC, I'll have to abstain from counting that, so it's a close call for me between CC and early UC. Despite how awesome Loran and Harry were, I'm going to have to say early UC, mainly because of Zeta, 0080 and 0083.

Another thing about Katoki's redesigns as compared to Okawara's originals is that he is much better about proportions. This also applies to BEE-CRAFT, actually, but Katoki is far better than Okawara about drawing the mobile suit with proportions that approach those of the human body. Compare, for ex...

Farner is very charactor based (like Eureka 7 in terms of the amount focus on charactor development)? Is it worth buying? HECK YES. I have found NOTHING wrong with this series so far, and I've seen well over two-thirds of it, except for a single, minor detail: Festum apparently are for the most par...

FAFNER is excellent, in my experience. (I've seen about half of it).
The focus is clearly on character development, but there is still a good bit of combat, and it is also awesome.
On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give it an easy 8. Pun totally intended. :)
