Re: Ep. 025: Transmetropolitan

This sounds like one grimy-ass world, replace all the sex and drugs with brains and you'd have Battle Angel Alita! One thing I don't get is the 'transient' people, are they just fetishists like furries who took things too far?

Re: Ep. 024: The Films of Christopher Nolan

I don't typically watch movies, but I did happen to walk in on my friends watching the very end of The Prestige. It was probably one of the creepiest things I'd ever seen. It was like, "Oh, what's this movie about?" "Magicians." "Oh that's neat.... WTF OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Re: Ep. 097 - The Awesome Adventures of Asem!

Great music in the ep, Soul Bro. =o Thanks for the compliment and for listening! Yeah Soul Bro, what's that song that plays at the very very end of the show (3:01:40)? "Frontline" by Yaggfu Front http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uVoWyREqfdU Incredible production on the instrumental that dri...

Re: Ep. 023: The Foundation Trilogy

Just finished listening to the BBC radio drama version (thanks to Hyakushiki for mentioning it) while enjoying an Abita Andygator. I love all those old BBC radio dramas*, but I have to admit I would have been totally lost if not for Chris & Pedro's synopsis. *I totally recommend the Star Wars tr...

Oh no! I'm sad to see the sacred cow become infrequent, but maybe it will taste even better that way. I'd never heard anything about this Bioware controversy, but man, not only are people idiots, her idea sounded awesome! I have a few friends say the exact same thing, over and over, every time some ...

Battlezone? It wasn't mechs, but it was the only early 3D game I remember where you placed different things for resources and turrets and whatever.

@Kenji: Are you replying to something that was on Gundamn!, because I don't remember any conversation about FFXIII (just interested, not antagonizing, lol)?

Re: Ep. 096 - The Gundamn Robots, John!

Great episode, I saw the first ep of Time of Eve on Crunchyroll, but I can't watch the rest because I wasted my free trial on some crap that was recommended to me last year. @SoulBro: I'm pretty sure those weren't Gundam references in Tekken, but I always thought Gato from Stardust Memory and Hyo fr...

Re: Ep. 022: High School of the Dead

Just wanted to say thanks for another great episode. I haven't gotten into Highschool of the Dead yet, but I'll definitely check out the manga. About the whole Piracy Cow, I totally agree that Steam is a great example of 'provide a good service and you'll be successful', but sadly I see console head...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread Mk III

And B) If these older shows were playing now, would these fans be complaining? Yes, they would. If you listen to the Gundamn! podcast, they make the point that every time a new show comes out, all the old ones that trolls complain about become instant classics. I thought this ep was OK, it was good...

Just had the pleasure of downing an Abita Turbodog, good stuff, and light enough for a beginner who doesn't want to feel like they're choking down syrup!

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread Mk III

Oh so NOW people are starting to talk about how there are no strong females in age (except for Millas)...I have been saying this from the beginning, but NO!!! No one wants to listen to the girl! ;) And please Gundam AGE, give me at least ONE female pilot who does SOMETHING. Give me something here! ...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread Mk III

It was all about Asemu. I hope he isn't putting too much emphasis on making his son succeed him and is ignoring the rest of his family. I guess we'll see as time progresses. LOL, prepare for his sister to show up in the 2nd-to-last episode in a giant fake Psycho Gundam, claiming to be his sister a ...

Re: Ep. 094 - The Chobits Conundrum

No, it wasn't part of that segment. It was some completely different thing (I think during the news), and someone decided it was time to bring up Destiny again, even though it wasn't an article on Destiny.

edit: Then again I guess you record the news after the segments, but we hear it in reverse.

Re: Ep. 094 - The Chobits Conundrum

Hilarious topics! Neo was on point once again about communication going down the hole; I can't have a simple game of mahjong without some dude checking hockey scores every 5 minutes! And yeah, it was funny when Destiny found its way into one of the very first segments, I'm like, weren't they not goi...

Re: Ep. 021: Magic: The Gathering

Great episode guys, sadly I never knew enough people that played Magic to get into it very seriously. My favorite expansion was Urza's Legacy, and my best pull was probably Lotus Vale (I assume it was good because it's the only card I had that anybody wanted to trade for). I had quit CCGs for years ...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread Mk III

Well, one thing I'll say is that this show has awesome direction. For example, the previous episode when Decil starts freaking out, and you get this shot of him looking up and screaming. Then the camera pans over to the part of his viewscreen where he was looking, and you see the giant Gundam head l...

Re: Ep. 093 - At World's End

I mean really it's a shame people can't see all these series once they run out of print and are out of stock all around. Barring any serious legal action against 'internet sharing', many people will still have access to the shows. But yes, the fact that I won't be able to acquire physical copies of...
