Re: The Official Gundam AGE Mecha Thread Mk I
Speaking of hearing things first, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the Diva transforms. It's just something like a gut feeling.

Re: Ep. 079 - The Greatest Bromance Ever Told
I too am slowly working my way through the series. I actually got a hold of all 110 episodes...before I realized there were no subtitles on the copy.

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread Mk 1
Judging from "AGE-2" and "AGE-3" above their respective heads in one of the pics on GG's site, you can pretty much guarantee that each new generation will be getting an upgraded version of the AGE Gundam. So that's TWO mid-season upgrades already. And that will certainly keep th...

Gundam AGE Gunpla Announced: http://gundamguy.blogspot.com/2011/06/coco-manga-x-gundam-gundam-age-new.html So, thoughts? The HG 1/144's don't surprise me, but the resurrection of the Mega Scale 1/48 is a tad interesting. And has a MG ever been announced for a series that hasn't started airing? They ...

Re: Transformers Prime Thread?
It'd be a nice change to see a more urban setting. And considering how well this series deals with the obvious probalems of concealing the transformers and their impact on society, that would make for an excellent story. But the money to pay the animators doesn't grow on trees... For me, the bigges...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Mecha Thread Mk I
I believe so, translators described the wording as like "unknown enemy like an alien striking at humanity". That enemy mecha, as long as we're talking about influences, looks like an EVA Mass-production type crossed with one of the Large Vajra from Frontier . Very different interpretation...

First of all, I hate you both now for getting me addicted to One Piece. :? Second of all, fantastic podcast! :D Now, to get onto the actual question at hand: What are your impressions of Zelda: Skyward Sword thus far? Are you not into the art style? Do you think the new precision control scheme will...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Mecha Thread Mk I
The thing that grabbed me most about the AGE Normal is how much it truly rips off the RX-78, even moreso than the "hero" gundams of every other series. The chest vents and the front skirts in particular really evoke Amuro's original. Favorite response I've heard so far is "What, no je...

More of an update if anything, but there's now a concrete format and announcement date for the new Gundam project:

That candy red makes it look like it just rolled out of the dealership
But seriously, fantastic job man! I never get tired of seeing the Gerbera Tetra...especially if in the future we get a Master Grade (PLEASE BANDAI?)

Would really love a Nadeisco spotlight. Been re-watching it recently. It's such an enjoyable tv show...... I second! And speaking of that show (and the horrible last episode of Gekiganger 3 ), how about a discussion of some of the best and worst endings of mecha/sci-fi anime? It doesn't necessarily...

Transformers Prime Thread?
Since it's not an anime, I didn't know if it should go here or in the Anime/Manga section, so here we go. What does everybody think of this show? Honestly, I think it's the best iteration of Transformers I've seen so far. The storylines are solid, the acting is fantastic, the characters are great, a...

Re: New Gundam Series this Fall, announcement in June
Advance of Zeta? That's what I thought when I saw it too--those knees scream Hazel. And in a perfect world, that would be awesome. But I highly doubt they're going to follow up Unicorn with another UC series, despite its popularity. And yeah, the design is a little bulky by my preferences, but agai...

Re: Latest movie thread.
Generally not a big horror movie fan, but I saw "Insidious" last weekend and it was surprisingly good. On the opposite end of the spectrum, I saw "My Soul to Take" yesterday and it was so bad it seemed almost like a spoof of the entire genre. There were so many cliches and tropes...

Re: Macross Frontier Movies
People know the song because it was exposed to them through the movie made in the 11th episode of 7, whereas we know it from the feature film. Actually, people know the song best because DYRL? was actually a movie in the Macross universe. The "remake" in Macross 7 was a remake of the orig...

Re: Macross Frontier Movies
First of all, I think we need to spearate the DYRL? movie made in real life from the one made in 7--they aren't the same film. People know the song because it was exposed to them through the movie made in the 11th episode of 7, whereas we know it from the feature film.

Re: Operation Stardust
And let's also think of it this way--I don't believe there was a specific point to dropping the colony on Australia in Operation British, it was merely a fear tactic and a measure of exactly how far Zeon was willing to go. It occurs to me that the same situation might apply here; the point of the &q...
