Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk

Oh dear. Now I know how Jamil felt about seeing a GX after 15 years. We as viewers can't really understand a colony drop beyond its WMD effects, but we are quite acquainted with what a mobile armor can do having seen several over the course of the franchise.

Re: Attaching Armor???

In the case of the movable frame technology, it was probably bolted on or affixed by some other non-permanent means (no direct welding for example) as the armor and various other components could be moved about the frame if for no other reason to reduce downtime for repairs and replacement of parts....

Re: Gran-xandria

Anyone else noticed the smaller ship/vehicle with an accompanying Hizack? I wonder if it's supposed to dock with the Gran-Xandria, perhaps under the belly? The idea slightly reminds me of the Gunperry. Unlike the Pegasus class, I don't see an obvious spot where you'd dock the thing, but it is an in...

Although I'm conflicted on the Gusion Rebake's Full City melee shield weapon which is a vicegrip that also highly resembles..... shear cutters... like its about to do some gardening work.... very strange... I hope there is a another hand held weapon for the Full City, like a axe or swords. Wouldn't...

Re: Official Unicorn Sequel Poll

Related: I'm actually listening to this song on continuous loop. Where's that song from, anyway? It wasn't in the movie, I just rewatched that (unless I missed it somehow) Unknown. It's attributed to F91 by everyone and their dog, but no one seems to know for certain ("citation needed") j...

Re: What MS design would you like to fix?

Pallas Athene, I'd remove the thruster on the rear skirt armor, gives a new meaning to referring that area as the ass-end of a Mobile Suit. Have you seen the rear of the Byarlant lately? The Athene got nothing on that rear end. The Qubeley Mk II should have two more spots for its additional funnels...

Re: The Official Macross Delta Anime Thread Mk I

Ho dang. Shit has gotten real here. Roid's a perv changing Mikumo like that and then tying her up while she's unconscious. Then he pulls a Hazanko on Melfina and mind controls her with a single (built-in?) phrase to bend her to his will and become this Star Singer. Something that it seems Lady M and...

is it just me or Fumina's Mom=Second coming of Rinko Iori Well, she definitely seems to want to be a grandmother or something. Though it's possible she just wants her daughter to be happy with someone else. However in the end there's nothing to worry about as even on an isolated tropical island, it...

Re: The Official Gundam Build Fighters Try Anime Thread Mk-V

Sure, we can't compare animation, writing, battle choreography, budget, OST, mech/chara designs, etc objectively... Of course we can. Theoretically at least. But I see you doing none of the above. All you've done is bitch about how bad the OVA supposedly is. The only acceptable thing you could say ...

Really...

Given your history you are one of the LAST people to talk as if they are being objective about a Gundam show.

Rumor has it that more episodes in a similar vein will be made. Not many though, maybe 2 I think if I have my rumors right.

Re: The Official Gundam Build Fighters Try Anime Thread Mk-V

Blah blah blah  Put a sock in it, Captain Killjoy. No one cares anymore about your taking a dump on everything Gundam these days. I for one enjoyed this. It wasn't the pinnacle of Gundam animation or storytelling, but it wasn't supposed to be. It is an add-on OVA and it works great in that re...

Nope. The guy clearly made a link way back to the SV-51 there during his holographic powerpoint presentation there.

Re: The Official Macross Delta Anime Thread Mk I

Damn, lots of crazy messed up stuff going on in this episode. Trippin' balls on fold acid this time 'round. Though I'm more interested in Kumo-Kumo's history that's hinted at here. If the likes of Sheryl, Ranka, and anyone else who sing and amp up with fold quartz powers were Newtypes, than Mikumo ...

Re: The Official Macross Delta Anime Thread Mk I

I've actually never seen the original, only DYRL. But I'm pretty sure Minmei and Hikaru didn't have an issue with different life spans, or the former's songs having bad effects on the latter. Wasn't it an issue of Minmei's busy idol career and her douche of a cousin? It's been years since I've seen...

Re: The Official Macross Delta Mecha Thread Mk I

The question I have is why an upgraded -17 is being used instead of the VF-19, which started being mass-produced/entering service around the 2040s as well. I think the in-universe answer is that the -19s are too high spec for the average schmuck grunt to handle. IRL, Kawamori didn't like the idea o...

Hayate's dad is Wright Immelmann. Another aviator reference. And judging from Robert's reaction (future Delta 4?) he's done something nasty.

I'm betting that he was the one flying that VF-22 that dropped the dimensional warhead.
