Red Comet's Real Plan?

What is Red Comet's real plan? I used the word Red Comet and not Char since I want to remind us that this is the young Casval Rem Deikun that we talked about and not the old bitter war ace Char Aznable that wanted to drop big lump of rock to exterminate life on Earth. So, the young ace pilots with f...

Re: Gundam Wing GOL/FT/MG new stuff THREAD

Err, so in Wing’s universe the only world’s problem is actually a feud between siblings from few closely related small families. What a crap bag of revelation.... Instead of believable characters from various different backgrounds, Wing now seemed like a domestic fighting that eventually taking host...

Re: "Jaburo isn't the target!"

After all this long, can we at least agree that what Gato actually inputted is not the coordinate of a massive farmland in the NA? Supporting arguments, official background data are interesting and issues in Unicorn stated by Full Frontal seemed to support the idea, but it seems like all this began ...

Re: Could Zeon have taken Jaburo without the White base?

I think to say that WB turn the war into EF favor is incorrect. Even without the Gundam's data and Amuro, the EF would still win the war in the long run. However, WB and Gundam involvement did shorten the war to some degree, if not altogether make it more smoother ride for the EF. Still, looking at ...

Re: The Neo Zeon Fleet

Reading about The Birmingham gave me a pleasant surprise. A ship too light for ship of the line but too heavy for light cruisers. That should be a pocket battleship then. Made famous by the German's Graf Spee. Type of ship aside, it doesn't surprise me much that such VIP made it a flagship despite i...

Re: Episode 30 - Riders in the Skies

August saw Tim’s Marasai went dead after being bested by Wales. He was never been a best buddy to Tim but something still register to him. Fear and anger fought with each other. As the de facto wingman he got a good position. He even remotely heard the solid lock chime on his console but somehow he ...

Re: Sword Art Online

Umm, my only critic to SAO anime is they make the other male character role so small that it felt the only one with backbone is Kirito. And past ALO into GGO. It really felt like a Harem anime. Really, Kirito should pass the torch to someone else.

Re: ufotable to Produce New Fate/stay night Project

I did read FSN. The key word is "read". I didn't know what's wrong with the TV anime but it didn't live up to my expectation. Even UBW felt strangely not satisfying, I didn't get the same feeling when Shiro ridiculously challenged a Heroic spirit, stubbornly refuse defeat and eventually ki...

Re: Episode 30 - Riders in the Skies

-Team 3- Two shots came from Irene's left side, hinted that another team have entered the fray. That caused more concern and worse there's no time to warn her allies. Having speed as the advantage she tried to evade the shots by accelerating into max limit for few seconds and banking slightly to the...

Re: Official After War Gundam X Thread

I don't see what this has to do with anything, and X especially. Wing is very dissimilar in some ways to other shows, so if you're using it as a "benchmark" just because it aired first in America, it's the wrong way to look at subsequent shows. It sounds like you're making too big a deal ...

Re: Official After War Gundam X Thread

Well, Wing has a serious tone while GX every now and there has a comedy tone to it. It's a lighter show that should be okay if it was launched before Wing or after Turn-A. Too bad it was made after Wing. Just like how ZZ aired after the ever so serious show like Zeta and looks how it receive negativ...

Re: Official After War Gundam X Thread

Hoo boyy... , what I had in mind when I remembered GX is how the Gundam is grossly overpowered with its satellite cannon. The show started with the boy saving a girl and then miraculously get his Gundam and then get picked up by his would-be-mentor. The boy itself is overly skilled to the degree of...

^I'm amazed that people have so much trouble identifying Jamitov at the end of 0083 in that thread. It so obviously is. The guy at the end is wearing the same exact trench coat Jamitov wears throughout all of Zeta, has the same hair, and we know Jamitov had an appearance in the series and founded t...

Re: UC Warship crew complements?

Actually, that's explicitly the case. The difference between a mega particle cannon and a beam rifle is that the former syphons its Minovsky particles (and the power needed to fuse them into mega particles) directly from a reactor, which gives it effectively unlimited ammo, while a beam rifle needs...

Re: UC Warship crew complements?

But then again, we're not talking the best possible scenario for UC space warship. The battery function does based on the animation. Even the best of MS used charged e-pac or e-cap to fire those beam gun or rifles. Their ultra compact fusion reactor may or may not be enough to power those beam weapo...

Re: UC Warship crew complements?

Don't forget it is said that ships (in particular the white base) are highly automated so the crew complement is probably smaller than you'd think. Most of the crew probably goes to MS maintenance. Probably because it's a new state of the art ship, carrying all sorts of new advances. I think they a...

Re: UC Warship crew complements?

That gives us an ultimate total .84 (oxygen) + 4 (water) + 2.3 (food) = 7.14 kg per person per day, at a volume of 0.000596 m^3 (oxygen) + 0.004 (water) + 0.005704 (food) = 0.0103 m^3/person/day. At 400 people for 30 days, that brings us to 85,680 kg and 123.6 m^3. Now that's unexpected. If Salamis...

Re: UC Warship crew complements?

Well, it's interesting but I don't quite understand just how to generate oxygen, apart from bringing them in liquid form to save space. Since there's no water, sea water, or whatever in space as a catalysis or maybe a medium, I don't see just how to produce o2 in vacuum environment. Cleaning the air...

I don't have solid data and this is only my estimation So... you're making it up whole cloth? Seriously, there's nothing wrong with estimations (often times we don't have enough information to do anything else), but unless you can actually explain your thought process on how you arrived at that est...
