Re: Hand contact and communication
Curious considering that there is one quite notable instance in the Gundam F91 movie where they specifically mention a contact link and the two parties communicating are a small civilian space boat launch and a guy in a normal suit. Also in the movie, two MS communicate via a simple thin wire which ...

Re: Different models of shield during and after OYW.
A recent scan from Anaheim Log (https://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/gundam/images/a/a7/Anaheim_log_GM_type_C_2.png/revision/latest?cb=20170627041502) shows that the GM Type C can use the Nemo's shield. So it seems that logistic factors more than the overall design when it comes to shield. Slight d...

Quick and Dirty? I've never heard of the Shiki being described like that before, but I'll take the image nonetheless.

Re: The Official Gundam Thunderbolt Anime Thread Mk I
how about that part where Io used the Beam sabers as a way to rise up? That actually seems somewhat viable in that he's creating a hot area of water which will rise and take him along with it if nothing else. Not true "thrust" really, but given how beam sabers tend to flash heat water, it...

Re: What's the deal with the Turn A's thrust power?
It's been a while since I last watched the series, but wasn't there an issue with the functionality of the nozzles which were used for flight? Something to do with the nanomachine repair function? (They were clogged or something like that.) There was. This is even replicated in SRW Alpha Gaiden whe...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk III
Was kind of disappointed that it is Hush piloting the Hekija instead of Azee like I thought when I saw the preview. Wonder if it is Azee's unit or Lafter's. Hopefully it is Lafter's Unit which does explain the concern the Tekkadan pilots have for the machine. Pretty sure that was Lafter's machine t...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk III
NO! Yeah. Shock is the defination of my feelings here. Shock and some rage too once that wears off. Well, at least Jasley's fate is clear, now. He will die by Hedge Clipper. He picked the wrong flower, so to speak. This one's petals are sharp... and bloodthirsty. That is if Azee doesn't get...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
Also, interesting modification to those Railgun Grazes. Was that a new sensor unit in the head or something? The impression I got was that they were simply using the open mode of their sensors that was shown way back at the start of S1. This was always a design feature of the Graze, but never used ...

I may have missed this being posted earlier, but where exactly are the Ahab reactors located on a mobile suit, and how big are they? GN drives had the tell-tale cones, but do Ahabs have anything similar to them?

Re: Star Wars Rogue One
Tentacles  Hmm... I would say that's more due to Star Wars Expanded Universe fandom. Namely the Yammosk, that literally does the exact same thing... I felt rather displeased by that, for perhaps petty reasons. Uh, did you miss the dozen or so that came out of the Sarlacc pit in episode VI? B...

Re: Neo Zeon MS use by EFSF? (Also, Hyaku Shiki question)
Ultimately, these drastic decisions forced the EF to continue relying on the GM II 9 years after the beginning of the Gryps War, a time when it was already deemed obsolete by newer MS. Even worse, they had to go back and remove the dust from the RAG-79, in order to have a non-Zeon amphibious MS. Th...

Re: Heat Saber: Does it work that well?
One notable scene to consider as well is late in episode 1 of 0083 when a Dom Tropen uses its heat saber to cut through the midsection of a captured Zaku II F2 with relative ease. The weapon bends as it cuts through the Zaku, then straightens back out after cutting through.

Most AV users have this headgear that covers the ears anyway, so it would also mess with the comm system to have their ears bleeding and show the drips out from the headset.

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk
Oh man, WHAT A EP... things are really ramping up now. And now we see what beam weapons actually mean now.... But if you think about it, in a way IBO is kind of giving the middle finger to Seed/Destiny/00's beam weapon spamming! lol Yeah, kinda, though Setsuna had a preference for bladed weapons, s...
