Re: After War Gundam X Updates...and Maybe Answers

Most of them don't. The GX lineage at least got some love, and we did get one Leopard variant in BFT. But poor Airmaster seems to've been snubbed despite appearing once in BF, and the Jenice and other units get no love at all :( Mind you I'm a tad biased - Airmaster was always my favorite of the GX ...

Re: Mobile Suit Moon Gundam Manga

Well, Kamille came up with the basic design that made the Z Gundam possible, but I can't remember anything ever specifically stating that he alone could use its capabilities. Amuro himself piloted a white Z Gundam in some of the side-story materials(as NT1 pointed out, according to what I've been ab...

Re: Movable frame construction material?

I'm totally speculating, but I would suspect either titanium or some kind of high-tensile steel alloy, with IMO the former being more likely for any pre-0080s Zeke designs(IIRC, the early Zeke MS used a steel alloy for their armor, though I'm not 100% sure and too lazy to look it up ATM) and the lat...

Re: Legend of the Galactic Heroes to get a new anime.

I confess, I have never seen the old LoGH series, though I have been somewhat curious. That said, it's hard to judge from such a brief teaser, but I do like what I'm seeing. Will in all likelihood be checking this out.
Haven't had a new anime that I really wanted to see since Delta ended.

Re: Dark Duel's Shop-Fu and assorted artsy stuff

Hey, no problem. As for the scans, I got them secondhand from somebody who got ahold of either magazines or books that had the lineart in them, and substantially cleaned them up myself in Photoshop(took several hours for each one, TBH). I'll see if I can dig up the original scans. I've been doing so...

Re: GUNDAM BUILD FIGHTERS : BATTLOGUE/GM's Counterattack

Hmm... In the series, I thought Renato bros are jerks who trash-talk at their opponent. That's because they were . Right up to the point where Meijin III publicly and awesomely defeated them in the World Tournament. I'd expect they substantially mellowed out some time after that, given... their muc...

Re: General Size of the CB Container and Assault Container

Hmm...the Lab Transport seems to use a version of the original Ptolemy's standard containers, but the propulsion units in the back resemble the Assault Container's, and as a result it seems to be very slightly longer. I would say its length would fall roughly in between the two - If we assume the st...

Re: GUNDAM BUILD FIGHTERS : BATTLOGUE/GM's Counterattack

I dunno why, I am LOVING the Striker GN-X's "helmet". That said, between the GN-Xs and the chance to see animated Rambo Gundam, I am looking forward to this episode probably more than I have any of the previous ones so far.

Re: General Size of the CB Container and Assault Container

I'd say you can at least double that size. Now then. Let's do some back-of-the-envelope number crunching. We know the overall length of the Ptolemaios is exactly 251m. Eyeballing it based on every decent image I could find, the Assault Container's length accounts for slightly less than 30% of that l...

Re: Gundam 0083 Rebellion manga

*looks at the filename* W...T...F?!!!! On a certain level, it makes a weird sort of sense given what we already know/was established by the series in terms of the EFSF circa 0083. On the other hand, that's a little too farfetched IMO even if that's taken into account. As for that GP01 variant, I've ...

Re: Why do people overlook the commanding officer?

I'm thinking of every major mecha anime I've seen so far that featured ships in a substantial way...and I'm not seeing any evidence of the ship CO in the main cast being "overlooked" in terms of their contributions to combat relative to the pilots. Are they less prominent than the main pilot charact...

Re: Skycrapers in Space Colonies

That last point is highly unlikely but possible post-OYW due to how complacent the post-OYW EF government has been established as being, at least in the period from 0079/80 to the mid-0080s with the establishment of the Titans in 0083. So in that 3-4 year period, maybe. That said, given the probably...

Re: Skycrapers in Space Colonies

Side 7 is also under construction as of late 0079 IIRC, so even if you assume an average population of 25m/colony, I very much doubt that it would have been housing that many people.

Re: Skycrapers in Space Colonies

Yeah. I suppose the actual size of the colony itself, and how much of it is taken up by solid living space versus open areas, would make a difference. I personally believe a closed-type cylinder(I believe Green Noa/Gryps were closed cylinders, but I'm not 100% sure) would be much more likely to supp...

Re: Skycrapers in Space Colonies

It's probably been at least 12 years since I last saw that movie, and as utterly forgettable as it was overall, I remember very little of the details. Might have to go back and check though.

Re: Does the destiny silhouette use Voiture Lumiere System?

The original doesn't, but IIRC wasn't there a MG kit released of a Destiny Impulse variant from some other side story or something? I seem to recall there was, and it looked nearly identical to the original MSV except it used the same wings as Destiny Gundam rather than the MSV version's bulkier one...

Re: GUNDAM BUILD FIGHTERS : BATTLOGUE/GM's Counterattack

So I watched it...and I'm not sure how I feel about it. It's kinda goofy, very funny, but it didn't really feel like Gundam to me. Though given the direction they went with in the story, it makes perfect sense. And the whole gimmick with Super Fumina and Hyper Gyanko combining reminded me of DNA Dig...

Re: The Lost Hollywood Gundam Movie

As a low-budget B-movie, G-Saviour was decent, and the mech designs are pretty great IMO. As a Gundam movie, it was terrible. Though I was told by a friend who had it that the PS G-Saviour game was pretty awesome. As for this movie...I dunno. Sounds interesting in theory, but I have a problem with m...
