Re: Uh. So Freedom and Justice have thrust figures now?

Well, we can at least speculate, anyway.

Re: Uh. So Freedom and Justice have thrust figures now?

As for the question of whether or not these figures are official...I don't have that book, so I can't say for sure. Now, the GameFAQs thread rapidly devolves into an argument over the length of the Battle in Alaska, so let's ignore that completely - though one guy apparently did the math and came up...

Re: The Macross Valkyrie Thread

According to SK's post above, the VF-25 Messiah apparently narrowly exceeds the performance of the VF-31A/B Kairos, with the souped-up VF-31 Siegfrieds being approximately on par with the -25. That's kinda surprising, IMO. OTOH, the -25 is, IIRC, more or less exclusive to the Frontier Fleet, and I h...

Re: Why do the bad guys usually have more different models than the good guys?

Also considering that the individual output of each of the 4 is less than 10% the individual output of each of the 2, I'd say that translates to 2 primary thrusters in the backpack, 4 secondary thrusters in the feet

That kid is OUT OF HIS FRIGGIN' MIND. And the thing that's equal parts terrifying and hilarious is that given his unique...advantage, he can still to an extent manage to make his crazy schemes work. This episode was a ton of fun to watch, especially when he had some initial difficulties with pilotin...

Re: Why do the bad guys usually have more different models than the good guys?

If we look at the production period, Rick Dom should be compared to Ball[...]The Dom seemed to be better than Ball just because of its heavier and humanoid nature, but the actual spec isn't that great. That is definitely not a valid comparison IMO, because the Rick Dom is a space-modification of a ...

Isn't it called skin-contact or something...? I forget the specific name used to reference the technology.
Birgit refers to it as "a contact link" at least once in Gundam F91.

So he went from old-school wizard-style staff to...magic-firing gunblades. THAT. IS. TOTALLY. FLIPPIN'. AWESOME! Also, that kid is ridiculously pretty . That said, in his shoes, I'd probably be acting much the same way, so I can't criticize. Hate that cliffhanger ending though, but hey, this looks l...

Re: Why do the bad guys usually have more different models than the good guys?

Yeah. Even the RVF-25 isn't that much different from the baseline model - I mean, it is moreso than the others, but apart from a head swap, it just has the radome on its back and IIRC one other little bit of kibble dangling from its underside(presumably some additional sensor of some kind, I guess)....

Re: Why do the bad guys usually have more different models than the good guys?

I'm gonna start by saying that it's been a couple of years since I last watch Frontier, but that was my recollection as well. Most of the variety in Frontier comes in the form of specialized variants of the two core VF models - the VF-171(with the vanilla "cannon fodder" model and the improved -171E...

Re: Custom Lineart Request Thread 8th Edition

I've been using Flickr for a few years, ever since Imageshack went Tango-Uniform. Works real well for me. Free account gets you a decent amount of storage, and if you want to spring for a pro membership, IIRC it's only $49.99/year, which is a lot less than what Pb's now charging.

Re: Dark Duel's Shop-Fu and assorted artsy stuff

So, I managed to, over the weekend, get lineart done for the Fáfnir , that Halfbeak-class recolor I did a while back. Its colors are basically the same as the Geirail Nachtritter(see above) because its Commanding Officer was formerly the Nachtritter's pilot. BTW, this is her . Haven't really fleshed...

Re: The Official Gundam Twilight AXIS Mecha Thread Mk I

So if I'm reading this correctly - the English-translated sections, anyway - the AN-01 literally is a kitbash of sorts, being put together from a mish-mash of salvaged parts from different mobile suits(apparently including the NT-1) and newly-developed parts.
Huh. Interesting.

Re: Dark Duel's Shop-Fu and assorted artsy stuff

Interesting. Reminds me of something similar I did once that used a few Bael bits and a mishmash of Lupus Rex and Hashmal parts, plus bits from a few others. I'll have to dig it out eventually. Anyway, this is the EB-06v Graze Vogel . Kind of a slightly modified/standardized version of the Graze Cus...

Re: Dark Duel's Shop-Fu and assorted artsy stuff

Thanks. Grate work man, question what is the Asmodai weapons ? And does the EB-05f Falke Graze be used in space and ground combat in its original form or whit out the back boosters ? Asmodai's weapons are fairly light, because it's intended as a dogfighter - fast, agile, high speed and mobility - ra...

Saw it. Pretty good. I'm still in the process of deciding which color scheme to go with, but once I do I plan on actually building both the Falke and the Asmodai. Once I'm done with that, I plan to take some pics and post them in my Gunpla thread. Actually, at some point I may go back and take bette...

And then you have weird ones like the Zephyranthes Fb, where the "vents" aren't vents at all and it has thrusters in its torso instead

Re: Dark Duel's Shop-Fu and assorted artsy stuff

Okay, so as per the edited post at the top of the page, I have been working on a revised version of a black-and-purple color scheme for my custom Gundam Asmodai. That is now complete I've been told it resembles Skywarp - certainly not what I was going for, but okay. I rather like how it looks somewh...

Re: The Official Gundam The Origin Mecha Thread Mk I

Not in the original Origin manga.
Only the RX-78-01(which is destroyed at Side 7) and RX-78-02(which is the one Amuro ends up in) appears in The Origin itself. I dunno about side materials though.
