Re: Zeta Gundam: Why is it so great?
What y'all've said about Reccoa has made me think. I've hated her since finishing the show nearly seven years ago, but I wonder now if I haven't been too tough on her. I need to rewatch it soon. Hell, I don't even remember a Qubeley being in the show. Some of the characters that really struck with m...

Re: MS Flamethrowers During The OYW
Nifty idea. I love the storytelling possibilities this brings. Just imagine: a guy piloting a Zaku II would have a bird's eye view of all the people he's immolating. It's not just the people right in front of him; he can see all the Federation troops off for a good distance. It'd be neat to see a st...

Re: Frozen Teardrops ends officially!
I dunno, guys. Sitting through Frozen Teardrop sounds more fun than sitting through the latter half of Wing TV. At the very least, this throws all logic out the window from the get-go. Maybe it would revitalize the Gundam Wing yaoi fanfic community. I personally want to see a Zechs/Holo-Zechs mpreg ...

You can never go wrong with G Gundam.
Super Doll Licca-chan looks like it might be kinda fun. I might have to give this a look.

Can you name some of those movies? I'm always interested in toku stuff I've never heard of before.

Re: Tokusatsu
Lately, I usually stick to movie. Still keep both Kamen Rider and Ultra series in radar, but no longer "marathon" through TV series like I used to. Now, I'm praying that Ultra Kaiju Gijinka Keikaku manga will be big hit that they would make anime (see my avatar). Ooh, what movies? Do you ...

I see. Portable sounds kinda nifty; I might have to look into it.
Thanks for all the info you've given me.

Re: Tokusatsu
Yeah, main reason why I haven't started X is because of how blinged out he is. I like my Ultras sleek and simple. I hope all this streaming does well for Tsuburaya; I'd love to see their entire catalog in English. I wonder if it'd be possible for them to stream Q, original Ultraman, and Ultraseven? ...

Re: Is Tomino's work an acquired taste?
I'd like to say his work is universal, but I possibly love his stuff too much. For example, I think Brain Powerd is a great show, and G-Reco is one of those things that struck me as something you'd show to someone who is brand-spanking new to anime as something easy to watch. Clearly, I'm in the min...

Re: The Otaku at Work
Eh, if you manage to get them started on Madoka, they'd probably follow it to the end. Gen Urobuchi's writing tends to be pretty "Hollywood," so once they got past the character designs I don't think there would be a problem. Granted, I'm not really fan of Madoka (or most of Eurobutcher's ...

Yes. Yes we did.AmuroNT1 wrote:and in fairness, did we really need things like both Ray and Charles' mecha?
Well, I think I can see why people generally disliked the game. At least we have 2 and 3.
While I'm posting, how were 1 and Portable?

Re: Tokusatsu
The part of 80's OP that gets stuck in my head is just the catchy way they say his name. I have no idea why I've been slow to finish BLACK. I started it back in my sophomore year of high school in 2007 and blasted through half the show. Since then, though, I've only watched an episode here and there...

Re: The Official Macross Delta Anime Thread Mk I
I read somewhere that he only has some sort of "Original Creator"-esque credit so far, which leads me to believe that the answer to that question is "not very." This is about par for the course with anime since 2010, if you ask me. You know, a little bit of research means you ca...

Re: Help With a Mecha game newbie
Good God, that Tension thing sounds awful. Someone thought that was a good idea? And what happens when you run out? I'm guessing the other series present just get some sort of "To be continued" thing? People COMPLAINED about ACE 3's roster? I think that's one of the biggest strengths of th...

Are ranged weapons aside from bazookas and continuous beams useless for post-plot grinding, or do I just suck?

Re: The Official Macross Delta Anime Thread Mk I
Yeah, I can't say I like the look of this new Macross. Frontier's designs have character to them; these just look like generic moe garbage, and I generally consider myself to have a decently high tolerance for moe junk. I hope it'll be better than it looks, but I'm not gonna hold my breath. I don't ...

How is ACE: R? I've played a bit of ACE 2 and have beaten ACE 3. Isn't it supposed to be a lot slower?

Re: Gundam Vs. Series Discussion Topic
Maxi's is currently around 150-155; plus, the entry simply says "OVER 160 units", so they're adding at least 5 new ones. My God, I had no idea the roster had grown this huge. The most recent one I've played is vanilla Extreme VS, which I purchased two days before the home console version ...
