Re: The Official Gundam Build Fighters Anime Thread Mk IV
I really like how they resolved the ReijixAila. I also liked Fellini calling Reiji on his anger and how childish it was to let that be your only motivator. Looking forward to the next one, looks like it'll hit close to home for the Meijin.

Re: Kill La Kill Thread
Just saw the latest episode.
Spoiler
Started off like a regular 'regain your fighting spirit' sequence, then the ending....short reaction: OH SH** OH SH** OH SH**. Hope they bring Senketsu back to seams in the next episode.

Re: Galaxy Kikotai: Majestic Prince
I'll agree on that point Gai, and that idiot Komine's political grandstanding has probably put the whole attack to the guillotine. But politics does play a role when fighting against enemies, especially fighting over the right to control the only effective force against them. I could probably write ...

Re: Galaxy Kikotai: Majestic Prince
What's wrong with being completely uninhibited? I find it a more interesting spin than the Zeon-esque revenge-on-earth motivations of the Vagans, but that's just me. The talk of a prophecy and terms likening the fight with humanity to a ceremonial hunt are very intriguing to me.

Re: Galaxy Kikotai: Majestic Prince
Episode 7 has come. Komine is an idiot and an ass, we see some of the Warg before battle, and it seems that 'instinct' plays a part in why they're fighting the humans, pending further insight later in the series. Seems they view the battle as little more than a hunt, and I hope they continue this di...

Re: Galaxy Kikotai: Majestic Prince
This last episode was a good one too. The realities of the heroes positions and the implications of it are shown with the discussions of which country gets to use the AHSMB technology to get ahead of the others. The heroes are also clearly aware of the fact they are essentially manufactured human we...

Re: Galaxy Kikotai: Majestic Prince
Great episode, and it looks like the heroes have gotten a little more backbone. It's interesting having people pilot what is basically a living thing that you have to assert dominance over. The porn bit cracked me up, I knew what it was the SECOND he said to watch it with the male pilots.

Re: What's Your Current Anime? Mk III
This season, I'm following:
Ginga Kikoutai Majestic Prince
Devil Survivor 2: The Animation
Suisei No Gargantia
Mushi Bugyou
Doki Doki Precure
Date A Live
Haiyoru! Nyarko-San W
Zettai Bouei Leviathan
Karneval
Sooooo much interesting stuff to keep me distracted from assignments this spring.

Re: Galaxy Kikotai: Majestic Prince
Loved it. This is the best season of anime i've seen. I'm planning on following this and just about every other series this season, 'specially devil survivor. Can't wait for the next episode.

Re: SD Gundam Capsule Fighter
That intermediate combat mission...The final part must have been made by Nintendo, because I cannot beat it. Trying to shoot down 25 Zakus with a single beam rifle (which has a less than ideal firing rate) whilst getting shot in the back (or worse, melee stunned) by the stragglers is just too much.

I think TvTropes lampshades that in the bright slap article.

Re: lack of discipline in the gundam series
Wow crimson, that was really insightful. I've heard about such incidents on the news many times in these past months and it got me wondering what the hell the military was doing. Your post has given me some insight into how such things happen during an ongoing armed conflict. A good read to be sure.

Re: What's Your Current Anime? Mk III
While waiting for the Devil Survivor 2 anime this April, I would reccomend Oda Nobuna no Yabou, Kyoukai Senjou No Horizon, and Persona -trinity soul-. Also, due to a favorite youtube uploader doing a Zone of The Enders playthrough, a few curious searches led me to discover the anime series ZoTE Dolo...

Re: Member Introduction Thread Mk IV
Well, I know this is kinda late since I began making posts without even looking at this thread, but I'll go for it anyways. I have been lurking somewhat for for a while, and before that I have been following MAHQ's mecha anime reviews on series like Code Geass and Gundam 00 for years, and I am reall...

Re: Gundam cliches you could do without?
True, Zeheart's mask was kinda a poor excuse. I mean, if they could make a helmet to control and amplify X-Rounder power, surely they could do something else. Since he wasn't doing things like Kamille's super wave motion beam saber or hearing other people's thoughts, the justification was greatly we...

Re: Gundam cliches you could do without?
Well, I wasn't trying to cause trouble with you or anyoone else either. This is also a large part of the reason why I am wary of such debates. It seems that any such topic concerning a series with a large fandom can devolve rapidly at the drop of a hat, may my generalized tone be forgiven.

Re: Gundam cliches you could do without?
As long as we're talking about not making a GINO series or what-have-you, I'll concur. I'll say that most of my ideas are best used in a fanfic of sorts. I'm not saying I do not want the old Gundam standbys or anything, as I am a big fan of Gundam, I was just posting my views on the subject. Gundam ...

Re: The Official Gundam AGE Anime Thread AGE-7
Looks like he may have his work cut out for him in the future, what with the Vagan finally going for broke, his dad going over the edge, and the friggin' Federation Commander still under a big brother complex towards Flit, best exemplified by episode 43. Even the bridge crew could tell that Flit was...

Re: Gundam cliches you could do without?
It's still just a personal opinion thread, correct? Not like wer'e sending in a petition to Sunrise (at least I hope not), just discussing what we think we've seen enough of, though I apologize for the wishlisty feel of my first post. We can create it ourselves if we feel like doing so.
