Re: Just finished watching Evangelion 2.0 , got some questions
1. She's not dead. There was a brief scene which showed her in Nerv Headquarters in a form of stasis. Ritsuko said they weren't attempting to treat her because her body could be still contaminated from the angelic encounter. Presumably this changes since the preview for "Q" shows her alive...

Re: Difference between Japan and Western Fans
It seems that Destiny is basically the American fandom's ZZ. Most American Gundam fans expect compelling drama and interesting characters, much like all Japanese fans had come to expect having seen MSG and Z. Then ZZ comes out as a comedy with mostly one dimensional characters for the first portion ...

Re: What's Your Current Anime? Mk II
About to finish ZZ Gundam, and just started rewatching Neon Genesis Evangelion. I'm finding that being older definitely helps with understanding NGE. So true. I first watched NGE when I was like...12 or 13, I think. Yeah, I had no clue about what was going on, especially with all those religious re...

Re: Difference between Japan and Western Fans
At risk of going off topic, can anyone chime in on what sects of Gundam fandom there are in Japan? I know originally here in the states there were the "Wingers" who have somewhat gone extinct, and I know I myself am a UC purist (though reading about 00 is intriguing me). Since the series i...

Re: Pre-OYW Zaku training program
As far as the Federation goes, remember, most of their GM pilot training was created from the downloaded files from Amuro's sorties via the Gundam's learning computer. Therefore, the Federation had ready to use data on most of the environments, and also, the combat data on capabilities of stuff like...

Re: Difference between Japan and Western Fans
This topic is very dear to me. Like most US fans, I was introduced to Gundam through Toonami's airing of Wing. I was heavily into Wing, and was ecstatic when Endless Waltz was brought over because it meant more Gundam (I still had no idea that there was tons more Gundam both before and after Wing). ...

Re: What's Your Latest Game? Mk II
I recently beat and thoroughly enjoyed Red Dead Redemption. I am also always playing MLB 10: The Show daily, and have recently dug up and started replaying Zeonic Front, which remains the most frustrating and simultaneously awesome Gundam game. I may pop in Gundam Vs. Zeta Gundam to finish what I ha...

Re: Gundam-- What IF?
Here's a what if: What if the Radish wasn't destroyed at the battle of Gryps? We were essentially led to believe that the reason the AEUG were on the run during ZZ Gundam was because of a drastic loss of ships and manpower during the Gryps Conflict. I would imagine the war with the Axis Neo Zeon wou...

Re: The Draft
Perhaps, though unlikely, the introduction of mobile suits helped maintain troop levels since MS to MS combat could technically end once one suit was incapacitated, which didn't have to mean a human casualty. By the time the GM is fully introduced, even the largely unconventional warfare of the &quo...

Re: Upcoming Models, Merch & Rumors IX
About the tinge, I would not be surprised. The old HG kit for both the Zeta and the ZZ had the tinge, and maybe they felt they wanted more anime accuracy for the ZZ kit. I have doubts it's about the yellowing effect because newer kits like the Unicorn have a flat white tinge, unless I am missing a s...

Re: Best sites to buy Gunpla/MSiA / information
I got really lucky with the sale. They definitely sold out of their free shipping "stock" because it was declared over before the end of the sale period. Not bad considering I made my order on roughly June 9 Japan time.

Re: Best sites to buy Gunpla/MSiA / information
Did anybody else take advantage of HLJ's free express shipping sale this week? I managed to scoop up almost all the HGUC Unicorn kits and not have to pay shipping, which makes me feel like I stole the Kshatriya with how high the shipping estimate is for that beast! BTW, I have used GS&M, HobbyWa...

Re: A few UC Gundam questions
By production numbers, you mean MS, correct? If so, here are the most common ones: Zeon YMS- indicates an experimental or prototype unit like the YMS-14 Gyan and the YMS-4/10 Zudah. The Zudah was originally known as a pre-Zaku protoype, but later renumbered as YMS-10 to help serve as a propagandized...

While I can't help about the plot, IIRC, this is the non canon manga that shows Kamille as a Doctor in either Granada or Von Braun. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Re: Upcoming Models, Merch & Rumors VIII
While I'm not against releasing HGUC kits from MSV, Advance of Zeta, and the game series, I still wish they would put off some of the more exotic kits to do things like the ZZ and the Hambrabi. Then again, if the 7th Gundam is coming, maybe sometime soon after Unicorn kits dominate the HGUC line, we...

Re: Axis and Moussa: Atmosphere and Gravity
Unless I'm remembering this entirely wrong, there's a part later on in ZZ where the "sky" in Moussa is damaged or goes out and it turns out it's panels like a video screen or something. It's possible I'm mixing memories together and pulling this out of my ass though, because I'm really ti...

Axis and Moussa: Atmosphere and Gravity
I've recently been watching ZZ and playing Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2, and have been wondering how in the heck Axis had gravity when Judau infiltrated to try and find Puru, and how in God's name Moussa had what appeared to be an earth-like sky. I know that in one scene in CCA that a city district of ...

I'm currently doing my first viewing of Gundam ZZ. I rarely take in any new anime anymore, but am thinking about getting into Gurren Lagann.
