Re: [New Gundam Anime] - Twilight Axis

I haven't read any of the novels, but did I just see a TR-6 Woundwart in the trailer? EDIT: NVM, it's definitely not Woundwort. The large, unusually shaped head confused me. Now that I'm looking at it, it looks more like a Gundam-ized Byarlant Custom. Looking at the wiki, there's a MS called "B...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk

For some odd reason, with all the focus he's getting, I'm getting the vibe that S2 is trying to build up Hush to take over lead protag duties from Mika. Mika's the first physically disabled main protagonist we've had in active duty as far as I'm aware, and since he's still using the same machine whi...

Re: General Gaming Help. (possible spoilers)

A couple weeks ago, I picked up SD Gundam: G Generation Portable at a convention. I got addicted to it pretty quickly, but I can't read Japanese, and I keep getting Option Parts after I complete stages. I would like to make use of them, but I cannot find an English translation guide online for the O...

Interesting thing to know is that GBF's North American release will apparently be using the Animax Dub: https://twitter.com/NozomiEnt/status/727954419782848512

Re: The Official Gundam Build Fighters Try Anime Thread Mk-V

I kinda chuckled when Mamoru asked Shimon which of the St. Odessa girls was his girlfriend, but only because I saw it coming. Though the series likes to throw curveballs and tries to make us question which of Sekai's harem he's going to officially hook up with, there's a pretty good chance that it's...

Something's apparently going on with the ADV Films website.

I've never visited their site before, and it's probably nothing, but earlier today, one of my friends posted a link on Facebook to ADV Films' website while expressing some excitement, but didn't go into any sort of depth whatsoever. I figured it meant some sort of revival of the brand, but I saw no ...

Re: The Official Gundam Build Fighters Try Anime Thread Mk I

I honestly thought HGUC Barzam existed, so I didn't pay much attention to its box. Looking back at it, I noticed that its HGUC number in Try is 154 (same as its MS model number). In the real world, HGUC #154 has already been released, and it's the Banshee Norn (Unicorn Mode). Another thing I noticed...

Re: The Official Gundam Build Fighters Try Anime Thread Mk I

Something I noticed that was present, but completely unrelated to most of the events in the episode: Either China's Beargguy III from S1 wasn't nearly as unique as we thought, and was based on EXTREMELY old molds, only given a select few mods (just the ribbon pack, and possibly the means to attach i...

Re: The Official Gundam Build Fighters Try Anime Thread Mk I

I'm a little late to this. In reference to whether Sei won any tournaments after the first series. Didn't the "Hell Hydra's" fighter at the beginning of the last episode refer to Sei as the former champion? I wouldn't dismiss the idea that he was just an overconfident and pretentious dick,...

Re: Doven Wolf Weaponry Redundant?

It's a simple answer. They're extra weapons and they provide extra firepower. The Doven Wolf has a lot of weapons because it's a "heavy" mobile suit, which often translates to mean a mobile weapons battery that excels in crowd control. One of the main goals in war involves trying to render...

Re: Gunpla at HobbyTown USA!

Like I said, I never knew about HTUSA carrying Gunpla in the first place. I only found out about it the first time I entered one. I never saw anyone on here or anywhere else I frequent saying that Gunpla were available there (I even used the Search feature at the top. Nothing!), and I knew some peop...

Gunpla at HobbyTown USA!

I don't know how long this has been going on, or if it's isolated to a few specific stores, but I haven't seen any topics for this yet. I visited a HobbyTown USA shop for the first time today in South Point Ohio (I don't go that way that often, but I live very close by and I just noticed it last wee...

Re: Settling an argument: G04 and G05 multi-use or space onl

Not as much debate as I was expecting...:? Even though there's no solid answer yet, and I still very much doubt G04 and G05 will ever make it into GBO, it appears that everyone seems to have a somewhat similar view on these suits' functionality in multiple environments, so I'll accept the defeat... ...

Settling an argument: G04 and G05 multi-use or space only?

Like the title says, this topic is meant to settle an argument. Over the past year 1/2, there have been many, many suggestions to the list of possible mobile suits that could be added to the Gundam Battle Operation game, which only contains Earth-based maps, and Gundams G04 and G05 have always come ...

Bumping because of this: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2014-07-27/harmony-gold-to-release-robotech-super-dimension-fortress-macross-dvd-set/.77032 Can't say I've ever cared for anything HG's done, and I always end up liking them less every time I read something about them. Nevertheless, they ...

Re: The Official Gundam-san Anime Thread

I guess it's still too early to say, but from the looks of things, each episode's going to focus on a different character. I hope the next one's on the Red Comet Chick. Seeing him sadistically torment dumb Char in the manga evokes memories of watching old Tom & Jerry cartoons as a kid.

Are you saying you're looking for movies with the concept, or do you just want to hear our thoughts on them? Either way, you're gonna read both. 8) Two movies immediately come to my mind: "WXIII: Patlabor The Movie III" This is more a suspenseful police story with just a little bit of mech...

Re: Christmas things you acquired(2013)

I got a Turtle Beach P11 headset for my PS3, a $25 gift card, and my first Android smartphone, which I am still trying to figure out. The day after, my cousin stopped by and gave me two pairs of pants and Mass Effect 2 and 3 as belated gifts. This year's haul was a good one.

Re: Doctor Who 50th Anniversary

I thought it was okay. It had its fair share of good moments, and I liked all the cameos and references, but it also had too many flaws that I couldn't overlook, which dragged the whole thing down for me. It was nice to see David Tennant back as the 10th Doctor, but I feel he was very underutilized....
