So were all the red lights coming from two pods deployed by the Kurwenal supposed to be lasers, not particle beams?
Arlette seemed to be completely shocked by them.

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
My thinking is that there's only a single hilt and the missile-looking things are stored blades that it pulls out as-needed. Either the blade is fragile or it's some sort of limited-use weapon and needs backups for long battles, or both. Say, a heat sword that can only operate for so long before it...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
Well given the PD era's love for all things melee weapons, those do seem like more logical conclusion. I just like offensive weaponry moreso than blades. Atleast the other Gundam has cannons.

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
The thing that makes me speculate they're missiles is that circular hilt. If it's not a launch effect, then it must be a hilt guard or something. But if it's a hilt guard, how would it fit in the slots? Unless they're like collapsible or something.

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
Ya know, looking at the new Gundam again, the one with the hip missiles, I don't think it's armed with a saber. It looks more like a missile launch effect.

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
I'd wager it's machine gun given the size the size of the magazine. Really, the gun itself looks pretty small.

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
A shame the Barbatos Lupus doesn't have it's own rifle. I'm a fan of the rifle/shield combo for Gundams and other MS. I am eager to see the new form with the under arm cannons.

The Gundam face.
I'm curious if there has even been an in-universe reason as to why the Gundam had a distinct face, with eyes, vauge mouth, and the v-fin. I know they all served their tech functions, but why make it like a face? Samurai inspiration aside, was it all just an accident? Is there any supplementary mater...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
I'm not sure of I really care for the idea that nanolaminate armor is so resistsnt to guns, that only direct shots are viable. It kinda invalidates their existence no?

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk
I hope the series is 50 episodes, weary on this 25 ep thing. Odd how we don't have a clear answer yet. Isn't this information that's released before the first episode airs?

Damn I like that battleship shape. Nice to see the boosters on the Braze can be elevated to the back, it was looking pretty obvious though. Looks better than being on butt though.

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Mecha Thread Mk
Yeah these tech details are beautiful. Haven't had this level of detail in kits (for a new series) in a while. Don't recall AGE kits having this much detail. Barbatos Gundam's power source sounds really intense. Gonna be a very ferocious machine. Interesting that they would mention Barbstos' 4 form ...

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk
What I mean really is just a preview that shows some mobile suit exposition. In terms of MS action, we only have 2 scenes. The Graze kicking a mobile worker, and then the Barbatos flying around like a ninja.

Re: The Official Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Anime Thread Mk
I've seen them, just a little lame they haven't really shown much aside from the same old things. But with the show airing in the next few days, guess it doesn't matter.
