Re: Ep. 056: Man of Steel & The Wolverine

Congrats to Peter on the new job! I haven't seen either of these films, though I was sort of interested in Man of Steel. I'm not a Superman fan in the slightest, let alone a DC fan, but you'd think with all the fancy effects they have these days they could make a serious spectacle - and it sounds li...

Re: Ep. 055: Castlevania

I get what your guest was saying about Breaking Bad. I'm into all the tense cliffhangers, but Jesse and all the f-ed up drug culture stuff makes me feel like, "UGHHHH". I want to reach into the screen and smack that dude, haahah. We're about 3/4 through the series now.

Re: Ep. 053: The Films of Philip K. Dick

Wow, being exposed to this much Dick made me realize how strongly his works influenced Hideo Kojima. I'm sure everyone is aware of the connection between Snatcher and Electric Sheep/Blade Runner, but just hearing snippets of plot from this episode has me convinced that A Scanner Darkly + Total Recal...

Hahaha, that was so good, it's been too long since I've heard those guys. Even a once-a-year roundup would be a treat.

Re: Ep. 052: TRON

Nice retrospective on Tron, kind of sucks about the cartoon, though. But yeah, I totally get when you see a really cool world and want more of it. Your discussion reminded me a lot of Reboot (which I'm sure was the direct influence).

Re: Pacific Rim the movie (2013) - Guillermo del Toro

I'm not what you'd call a fan of the cinema. I see maybe two movies a year, tops. But oh lawwwd, Pacific Rim was incredible. I wish Mako had played a bigger roll, but at least story-wise it made sense why she didn't (though I wish they had had her knock down the Australian dude when he was being a j...

Re: EX Troopers demo coming soon.

I ordered my copy of Ex Troopers for 35 on amazon. Does anyone have the game that would want to co op later? I bought a copy on a recent trip to Japan. I'd say play through single player yourself and get the system down, and then see if you want to do co-op. Honestly I was pretty satisfied with the...

Well, I hoped you voted, because Daisuki will have polls on what animes you want to see.
Yes sir, that was in the interview. I voted for Dunbine and Votoms as well.

Re: Sp. 023 - The Daisuki Debrief!

Man, I'm so glad this site popped up, I'd been hurting for a way to watch Zeta and Seed legally after I missed out on buying the DVDs. I actually never watched Seed proper, only saw the movie versions. I've watched all 5 Zeta episodes and am starting on Seed now. The interview was really cool, too. ...

Re: Ep. 049: The Legend of Zelda

Ahhh, OK, that makes sense. I was just reminded of when my friend got a Wii and was like, "yeah I got the new Zelda for Wii!", and I was totally confused because neither of us knew it was a cross-platform game.

Re: Ep. 049: The Legend of Zelda

I was kind of confused when you guys were talking about how Twilight Princess was planned as a GC release and then they moved it to the Wii. I'm pretty sure they released it for GC and Wii simultaneously, because I distinctly remember it being one of the very last GC games.

Great episode, I loved it when she would slip into character for no reason, "HEY LET'S ALL GET POPCORN!!"

What I really caught on to though was that Chrono Trigger/Jay Z mashup, I downloaded the album, it's freakin' awesome!

Haven't been posting much lately, but just wanted to say I'm really loving all these voice actor episodes. My (other) favorite podcast is Get Up On This on SIR, so I was blown away to hear that the SIR dude is also a VA (and Ryu no less)!

Man, Soul Bro was killing it in the mailbag. Every episode I'm like, "Talk about the Palace Athene and Rival Schools!", hahaha. Also these VA interviews are great, I freaked out when I heard she played Anna in Monster. That show's English cast is incredible, Liam O'Brien is one of my favorite VAs by...

Re: Ep. 115 - Gundamn!...Into Darkness

Damn, I remember how bad Escaflowne was, I never did and never will forgive Fox kids for that. Although Cardcaptor Sakura was aired on WB but that itself didn't make itself any different from Escaflowne cause it was also very chopped up on WB but at least the music was not as screwed as Escaflowne ...

Listening to the episode now As someone who actually picked up the HD collection of Zone of the Enders on PS3 when it hit stores, I honestly don't know what people are complaining about. The only notable glitch that I noticed is the clear data glitch for Second Runner, and that's easily fixed by lo...

Prince of Persia was my first game ever. I had the full color Mac version, which to this day looks better than every other version I've ever seen. The only other title in the series I've played is Sands of Time, which I ate up in a few days during Christmas break. It was really fun the first time th...

Re: Ep. 037: The Films of Hayao Miyazaki

Oh Miyazaki. You do good work, but you're not some anime god that your fans make you out to be. Your stuff can be pretty samey, with you cramming in environmental messages and such, but they're still nice films. Princess Mononoke is my favourite. But I have to laugh. For how vocally anti-moe Miyaza...
