Blast Impulse Goof - salvageable?
so, newish to the gunpla scene, and basically wanted a blast impulse. Not realising the HG blast impulse was a 'premium exclusive' (and way out of my price league) I ordered a 1/144 scale kit from amazon, and got a 'No Grade' kit. Now, the weapon backpack doesn't seem too bad (aside from needing som...

Re: 'iconic' Amuro Rey suit In Zeta
Thanks for the reply. ^_^ Honestly leaning toward the Rick Dias myself, even though it's 'only a grunt', but aesthetically it appeals to me more. UPDATE: after looking at pictures of kits, i'm leaning more towards the Dijeh assuming they've made a HGUC version. the suit looks much better in 3d than ...

'iconic' Amuro Rey suit In Zeta
Recently got back into kits, and one of the first I built was the Hyaku Shiki as I've always liked its design and colours, though i only know the broad sweeps of Zeta's plot. Cool as the Zeta Gundam is, I'm not really interested in it as a kit, but I'm considering maybe using one of the suits Amuro ...

Re: Armored Core 4 Plot Questions (SPOILERS)
The plot (or lack of) didn't bother me so much. It was just the aspects of the other pilots calling you a fossil made me wonder if i'd missed something from the manual/an earlier game, and being suddenly attacked by your ally seemed to come out of nowhere and made no sense.

Armored Core 4 Plot Questions (SPOILERS)
Ok, picked this up second hand, and have been having a blast with it, and have beaten it on normal. Now, this is my first armored core, and the copy I got didn't come with a manual, so a few plot aspects left me confused. Firstly, why do a lot of the other Next pilots call you a 'fossil'? Secondly, ...

Re: classic mecha games that we should all play
I'd like to reccomend M.U.S.H.A. Aleste on the old megadrive/genesis. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M.U.S.H.A. although strictly speaking a scrolling shooter, oyu do pilot an samurai themed mecha, and it plays very nicely. Its been released on the Virtual Console if you have a wii... if not, wait and...

Project Sylpheed Questions
ok, a couple of questions about this game. The first is in the credits, it lists the japanses vice actors for all the characters as well as the english... does this means theres an option to have japanese audio in the game, or is this just a call back to anime on VHS? also (SPOILER) What happened to...

Re: Macross II: Lovers Again
I loved this when I first saw it, as it was my firsttaste of macross being macross (previously, I had only seen episodes 1 and 2 of robotech, and I was vaguely aware macross and robotech were related somehow), though the weak animation in the final epsode was a bit of a let down. Having seen more ma...
Re:
A fad of online shooters has struck myself and a group of friends, and exteel has been among a few games that we've picked up. It can be frustrating at times, but hopefully since i just started i just havent found my comfort zone yet. Tommy-spammers are indeed annoying, but there's really nothing t...

Ok, looked into marz... is it me, or are the colour schemes too busy now? I prefer the clean looks of the first game, and OT.
And the less said about the new fei-yen... dear god, did someone with a maid/anne-millers fetish take over her design?

Re: Virtual On: Oratorio Tangram ver. 5.66 (XBLA)
ok, interesting, but the translation seems a bit off, and some jargon is unexplained, leaving me a few questions. What exactly are the 'plants'? we're told that tangram is the 'ninth plant that can control time and space', and some other plants are mentioned with regards to some of the virturoid mod...

Re: Virtual On: Oratorio Tangram ver. 5.66 (XBLA)
ok, is there anywhere I can get background info on the games setting/mechs. I had the pc version of the original, and managed to discern there was a story behind everything through the mangled translations (humanity discovers alien tech, uses it and makes the virturoids, the moonbase where the tech ...

Re: Virtual On: Oratorio Tangram ver. 5.66 (XBLA)
Everyone seems to make their RNA Temjin white with a highlight, go figure. Mines actually based off the Hiyaku shiki (dna is based off the artwork colour scheme of the Ryu from jovian chronicles... I did an 'ace' ryu in the hiyaku shiki colours, hence the pairing) but honestly, I use the fei-yen th...

Re: Virtual On: Oratorio Tangram ver. 5.66 (XBLA)
Enjoying the game so far... breezed through most of the achievements in one sitting (just need the two bosses), but getting thoroughly spanked online, and my 'no continue' policy means I've yet to get the skills to actually move much further than the mid-boss. As a miniature painter, I love the actu...

I loved ribbons arrogance in the epilogue scene. 'oh yeah, you MAY be better than me, but its cause of me (BLEAH!) so you should be thanking me, peon.' The irony is very much that he could have had that power legitimately, but in his own self serving and greed (he bailed on being the exia pilot as h...
