Re: Gundam Vs. Series Discussion Topic

At this rate I'm expecting to see either Side Story End of Flash units from Encounters in Space with RX78-4/5 and Action Zaku or 0081 units with RX78-7 along with RX-81 or Efreet Nacht. Most of the main OYW games have been covered now aside from Blue Destiny, which could also come back, but the Pale...

Re: Gundam Vs. Series Discussion Topic

Age 2 is not a surprise, given that the Zeydra was just announced and that both Zeydra and Age 2 are in Maxi Boost. Murdrock also makes sense given its the rival pilot in Zeonic Front because Gerhart Schmitzer and his custom Zaku I were announced pretty recently too. Usually it tends to be 2 units p...

Re: Legend of the Galactic Heroes to get a new anime.

Well... Spiral Labyrinth designs to a degree was also quite different because it also had different designs from the previous movie/main series/side story OVA as well as Golden Wings. So having different character designs is also not really new to LOGH. Its already been done twice.

Re: Why was the Guncannon Detector was made?

For one thing Chobham armor is useless against beam weapons, and would also weigh down the MS considerably. The GM Cannon II is also a much older unit and parts/maintenance will be harder to find and its performance is not that great to begin with outside artillery. The Guncannon Detector is based o...

Re: The need for prototypes to surpass the mass-production models

Viper's Creed comes to mind with the main antagonist complaining that he hates prototypes because they are unreliable and break down, and its shown to be the case, lol With Muvluv, there really isn't a difference between prototypes and the mass production models as they all can be upgraded as they h...

Jojo part 3's designs, atleast in terms of animation/charater designs is quite different in the TV version compared to the 90s OVAs.

Re: Legend of the Galactic Heroes to get a new anime.

Its pretty hard to find retro designs in this day and age in anime, LOGH main series came out late 80s/early 90s. But even the DVD version of the main show had redesigns of some characters along with the mixing of newer animation from the 2nd Gaiden OVA series compared to the laserdisc release of or...

Re: The need for prototypes to surpass the mass-production models

Yeah, the MAHQ profile even says that the Ground GM uses the Ground Gundams parts. So how could the Ground GM come first if it uses some of the Ground Gundam's parts? Also, the Ground Gundam was made first because it used the RX-78's spare parts. As the case for the Zeta Plus... not really much of a...

It sounds like the 1st Macross Frontier False Songstress movie which took scenes from the show but was a different story for a good amount.

Re: The need for prototypes to surpass the mass-production models

The Ground GM shown in 8th MS team was also one of the earliest GM models, because it also used parts from the Ground Gundam, but after the regular GM model came out, it was phased out, and also replaced by later ground combat GM types. From what I've read for Z-MSV, there were quite a number of mas...

Re: The need for prototypes to surpass the mass-production models

Um... RGM-79C was deployed in the last month of the OYW. Igloo during ABQ battle showed this. Not to mention that the 1st ep of 8th MS team showed the test/prototype version of the type C. Anyways, there is also the rare case that the prototype becomes a limited mass-production model in Gundam, like...

Re: Ep. 123: Mario RPGs

I've never much of a Mario fan, I've played Mario 1 and 3 along with World back in the day, but I really enjoyed the 1st Paper Mario for the 64, and after that I really haven't touched a Mario game aside from a few kart games. I have Bowser's inside story but I might pick up the 3DS recent release o...

Re: Chaos Theater Mailbag Drop Box

Got a few more questions for you guys, going to miss the show, but its been a fun ride. 1. Have you guys seen the Amazon live action series of THE TICK? Its pretty funny and quite darker than the 90's animated show and Fox's short lived live action series. On a related note, have you seen the 90's a...

I'm enjoying the W manga a lot, its great to see the characters again, the fanservice is good too, but the manga version of Shotaro has such funny reactions that it matches his real life actor, lol.

Re: Tokusatsu

Build is a lot of fun, I have no problems with the main cast at all. Although the cafe owner is more devious than I expected him to be, and more manipulative too, kind of throws a wench into how those characters tend to be compared to other Rider shows. I think its pretty obvious that Ryuga is going...

Re: GUNDAM BUILD FIGHTERS : BATTLOGUE/GM's Counterattack

This is extra funny because Pre-Cure is also a Namco-Bandai property, lol

This ep did what those old SD Gundams used to do and spoofed something completely, this time by doing a parody of a magical girl show like Pre-Cure.

Re: Dijeh ground only MS?

Gundam vs Zeta Gundam had some odd things in there especially with CPU allies, cause there is a what if stage with Four in a Psycho Gundam in a space mission (Granada I think?) despite the Psycho Gundam being a ground only unit in the game.

Re: Mobile Suit Moon Gundam Manga

That was in the Hi-Streamer CCA Novel IIRC, but sometimes Gundam manga don't stick to continuity of other printed works like manga/novels. Depends on the mangaka. Sometimes the author don't give a crap and put in whatever unit interests them, I believe Gundam Katana was like that.

Re: Mobile Suit Moon Gundam Manga

Update, it takes place in UC 0091 and 0092, that explains Amuro's pilot suit as it looks like his Londo Bell suit, although I don't understand why he's using a Dijeh of all things if he's in Londo Bell at this time... I'm guessing that EF won't let him have his white custom Zeta Gundam, but it seems...
