Re: Gelgoog Cannon (Chimera Corps)
Regarding Johnny Ridden he used a Gelgoog Cannon according the Zeonography figure line. Actually, the Johnny Ridden's Gelgoog Cannon dates back to the original MSV designs, though Zeonography changed the color scheme up a bit. See here for art: http://www.mechatalk.net/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=7466&...

Re: RMS-178 fake gundam mk II
The design in that illustration is an adaptation of the "Nise Gundam Mk. II" ( にせガンダムMk-II , meaning "Fake Gundam Mk. II"), from SD Gundam, which was never meant to fit into continuity. You can see it in the bottom right corner of this image, between the Super Gundam and the regu...

Re: Why is it called a beam rifle?
Its because the "RIFLE" is actually an acronym for Rockin' Incredible Firing Longrange Equipment. LOL. To me the term "beam rifle" is as silly as a "beam saber" is, where with "saber" I think about a "kind of backsword with a curved, single-edged blade&q...

Re: The Official 00 Mecha Thread Mk XV
The way these arm condensers stick out is a little weird, although the design does happen to allow part-swapping with GN Drives later. Looks to me like the creators/designers had a bit of flawed logic when traversing the development line backwards. The shape of the panels holding the condensers is ...

Re: Gundam/Misc. Mecha Image Request Thread V.5
Assuming you're referring to the Akutsu designs for the original five Gundams from Seed- I have no idea. Someone else posted the image and I hung on to it; I don't even know what it was scanned from. Looking at the copy I just linked, it appears I uploaded it in 2004... so the image was around on th...

Re:
Hi, I know this has probably been asked for before, but does anyone have the original (non-okawara) line art for the first 5 gundams from SEED? Here. Yes, I do. While we're on the topic of Seed concept art, I just want to point out that I'm pretty sure these Freedom early designs are fan-colored. I...

Re: Titan Maximum
I liked how the original three male team members were assigned colors on the basis of how much of the "alpha male" they are, and the two female team members have colors that match their hair. After the third ep and its superconducting coil (or whatever it was), and the distraction of the d...

Re: How tall are most 'Western Mechs'?
Where is Talos from Greek Mythology? That's a good point. I'm generally in favor of citing mythical magic automata such as Talos and the Golem of Prague as the forerunners of the concept of the robot, but I left them out of the list for the same reason I left real-world automata and modern robots.....

Re: How tall are most 'Western Mechs'?
I hate to say this but there really is not much in the way of original western robots. the us mecha properties from the 80's were imported series or toy lines with American written plots. even robotech used some eastern mecha to fill its ranks. really all we have is the ed 309, the power loader, po...

Re: The Official 00 Mecha Thread Mk XV
I dunno,Chall suffered radiation poisoning from a True Drive, and it affected her health pretty poorly.A rare anamoly compared to the early Tau Drives, but it still happened. Wasn't that due to a containment failure, as opposed to the normal particle exhaust from operating a GN mobile suit's systems?...

Not to mention predicting the creation of the tank (in 1906) I assume you refer to The Land Ironclads ? Fantastic story, and a must-read (for those not familiar, there's a full text link there in the External Links section of the Wikipedia article) for anyone interested in the themes used in Gundam...

You should know that the first one is from a manga, but the second looks like a design only, but for that one I am not sure. If someone could help me that would be over-the-top :D http://img220.imagevenue.com/img.php?loc=loc536&image=81973_Unknown_MS_01_122_536lo.JPG Waterproof Gundam!! http://...

Seeing the Flag Custom in Bushido's Ahead, is it in bad form to conclude that Bushido's Ahead is, in fact, based on the Union Flag Custom? I keed, I keed. Anyone spotted a downloadable high-res version of the trailer yet? Here's a low-res MPEG.
Also, something weird going on with Exia's GN Sword (only for about 1/3 of a second). I wonder if that'll make it into the broadcast episode... :3

As for you guys who really think that no fanartist could draw something as good as that Keldim, are you forgetting that Takayuki Yanase was a prolific fanartist for years before he worked on any official Gundam materials? The point isn't the quality, it's the styling, which resembles Ebikawa's work...
