Re: Which series has "cornerstone" mecha designs?

Although not a mecha series (you still find plenty of them) R-Type's Bydo is possibly the best example of biomechanical alien.

Re: Old Gundam profile corrections

Surprise...I did some research on Nether Gundam and found that on Nether Gundam's official profile . the pilot's name is ルトガー・バーホーベン. Not Paul. It's appear that his name come from Rutger Hauer and lastname of Paul Verhoeven . But mistake happen somewhere so instead of "Rutger Verhoeven" we end up li...

Re: Which series has "cornerstone" mecha designs?

Well, I basically looked at the art style and design, Virtual On series mainly based on modification to its own iconic design of the Temjin, which is more or less a modified VF-1J head on a GM body. There are other similar designs that predates VO, that's why I don't consider it to be a cornerstone...

Re: Another Nod At The MS-14JG & RMS-117(MS-17B) Siblings

That things about beam rifles makes me want to ask this question: When did Zeon begin to field beam rifles which are powered by E-Pacs? I haven't got time to check back the original series, but Char's Gelgoog showed up around November, right? Never. Zeon never develope E-Pac-powered beam rifle, unl...

Re: Which series has "cornerstone" mecha designs?

Well, that and Feiyin, but seriously? Very seriously indeed. I myself still find the VR give unique feel, but I guess it's different to you. Then again, I shake my head in disbelief when you mentioned Escaflowne. I like the mech design, but its iconic status are around the tier of Mechander Robo, M...

Re: Which series has "cornerstone" mecha designs?

Instead of listing all, here're few "iconic" that I can think of... Virtual On It's hard to tell, but they're unique style about them. If you've to pick the most iconic of them, it would be Temjin and Fei-Yen. While we're on subject of video games, throw Metal Gear Rex ( Metal gear Solid ), Nine-Bal...

Denan Zon can use them as spotlights, although I think it's unusual case.

Re: The Official Gundam Thunderbolt Anime Thread Mk I

Well, I don't follow the manga (EXA and Super Class G Gundam already drain my budget). But I would like to guess that it isn't full mind control but rather something close to D&D's suggestion spell.

Re: Power Rangers (Post PR Twitch Marathon) Discussion Thread

Light Speed Rescue; well let's see the Light Speed Megazord was pretty cool since it was made to be formed out of rescue vehicles should monsters/demons shower up and it could handle itself. Not to mention when it combines with the Solarzord Max to get armor and powered up firepower like crazy. And...
